What are some of your favourite movies? I don't mind the odd action type movie but I'm really the girl type movie. Probably two of my all time favourites are Pretty Woman and Sense and Sensibility

I'm with you Louise, I love Tom Hanks movies too. Robin Williams is another Favourite actor..

I seem to love Bawling movies LOL

I've bawled my eyes out in most of Tom Hanks movies especially Green Mile ..bawled in Dances with Wolves ..bawled in the Titanic .. more bawling in Ghost ..Serious bawling and sobbing watching What Dreams My Come ..omg, does anyone remember the movie Who Will Love My Children? That has to be the all time Bawl-your-eyes out movie!

On the flip side I love comedy movies too. I do enjoy a good action movie, but I find most of them seem to feel they have to go over the top with too much blood and guts.. and I hate that. Or everything has to blow up LOL True Lies and Speed are 2 action movies off the top of my head that I liked.

Some of the movies which I enjoy and could watch time after time include:
"Whats up Doc" - with Barbara Streisand and Ryan O'Neal. It was made in the 1970's but to me it will never date. I really have a good belly laugh while watching it.

"Young Frankenstein" a Mel Brooks film which has me in fits of laughter it's so funny.

"The Princess Bride" is also a classic.

I can also watch "Hello Dolly" time and time again. Walter Matthau cracks me up with his dead pan expression!

I'm sure there's heaps of others which I've forgotten at the mo.

I'm a thriller girl, nothing beats a good thriller I reckon! Tho must admitt I do get a bit scared sometimes LOL.

I can't stand "boy movies", you know the real action blood and guts ones, war movies, kung fu etc.

I can only watch a movie if it is believeable - which is a shame but I get really frustrated if I don;t think it could happen in real life and yet my favorite movie would be Monty Pythons Life of brian! Go figure.

My favourites would probably be The Shawshank Redemption, The Big Chill and yes, The Green Mile as well. My all time favourite is To Kill a Mockingbird, very through provoking for its time.

Love those "leave the brain at the door" movies as well. The action ones that are completely and totally unbelievable. :)

I have too many to list here but some of the ones off the top of my brain include: Shawshank Redemption, The Notebook, Moulin Rouge, Finding Neverland, Pirates of the Carribean, Edward Scissorhands, Harry Potter... As you can see I have an addiction to Johnny Depp :D :D

I actually watch too many movies and prolly spend too much money on them too. Lucky we have Civic Video around here otherwise I'd be bankrupt!!

Did you know The Green Mile is on tonight? Channel 7. I keep seeing the ads whilst in between watching tennis and messaging on here (what a sad existence I have) LMAO :P

Edited to say to Linxss: I was also a horror/thriller fan. Have not seen any good ones lately. I think Hide & Seek is out at the cinemas. Not sure what it is like tho.

I'm with you Chezz, I like a good mystery thriller, something that makes you hang onto the cusion for dear life. Nothing to gory with a lot of blood and gore, something with a story.

Nicole Kidmen has made a few Good ones, "Dead Calm" and the "Others" had your mind spinning about what was going on right up until the end.

I also like watching Denzel Washington movies...he just does not disappoint.

I like anything with Kevin Spacey in it - he generally picks stories with a twist. One of my favourites is The Usual Suspects.
