let me start by apologising to Bert fans...

is it just me, or does anyone else find Bert Newton alien like?:D

i was on a plane last week coming back home from Sydney, and i was flicking through a magazine and there was an article about bert's move back to channel 9. Anyway, I turned around and said to my work colleague, 'he looks like he has had do it yourself lipo with a stay sharp and a vacuum cleaner.'

and wait for it, a fellow passenger sitting next to us says, oh, are you talking about Bert? LMAO

the man is very strange. I think he is an alien;)

I agree, he is freaky looking. I think he looks like his make up artist is a mortician, or a wax artist. He just has that fake look to him. He looks just like Rex on desperate house wives on Monday.

I have no idea why on earth ch 9 were so desperate to get him :dk:

Too funny!! What really annoys me at the moment is how Ch 9 are rolling him out for EVERYTHING. Got a new show? - get Bert to advertise it! Got some crap ch 9 promotional ad? - Bert's your man! Need an extra in a show about aliens? - Bert!!

True though, he's really odd looking and it gets worse with time. Not much aging gracefully happening there, I'm afraid.

Surely channel 9 can come up with a better host for their shows. He's had his day, in my opinion!

well I watched Family Feud yesterday (why?) I have no idea but man it was lame...turned over and watched Larry on 7...weird how they are all chopping and changing networks...Georgie Parker on 9 and David and Kim on 10 (now that is a lame show) and bring back 7th Heaven, Ellen sucks compared to Oprah...she had Simon Baker on the other day and he was on for less than 4 minutes and it was a terrible interview...they are all just trying to hard...


When is Nip/Tuck coming back and Amazing Race....and Greys Anatomy?

Wednesday nights are too packed to watch and record...

9 has McLeods then Without a Trace then ER (all I love)

10 has Jamie Oliver then House and then LA and Order

7 has Prison Break (which I have had to give up) esp watching the episode where his toes were...

So how can I watch all these shows and record...need to get another tv and video player????

Watched Family Feud thought it was O.K. I used to love it when I was younger. Mum & Dad have friends who were on the show years ago , pretty exciting at the time. :D

I thought he was great on GMA.. really turned a cheesy advertorial show into something quite different, with the classic "Now here's Moira.." He is just wrong for Family Feud, we just switch the channel.
