does any body know where i can find a reliable site for pen pals?
Im looking for the old fashioned pen and paper style and the excitment of getting something other than a bill in the letter box.
Preferably international but from australia would be fine to.

When I was 15 I wanted a pen pal so I paid $10.00 to join (company was called Pen Pal); I sent my details and they sent me a list with 10 names on it and to this day I have 3 regular friends who I write too; not as much as when I was young, two I have meet, one lives in Perth and the other England, it is very exciting to have an old fashioned letter come in the post; I tend to write to them once every 3 or 4 months and we have not changed and have not gone to email at all. Christmas time is great as we send each other fun gifts, birthdays we normally send something small like a nice pair of earrings etc.
In the time I have gotten to know my friend in England she has gotten married and had 3 boys; we have spoken on the phone and we meet in '94, she came down to London for a day. It really is a great way to make international friends (other than AFW of course!)
I would google pen pals and see what you come up with; a whole new world of friends to find.
