I was just wondering the ins and outs of how this works? i have never brought any books from them and the brouchers dont say much about the process.
They have some cheap books in this issue and was thinking i might order a few to add to xmas pressie/dyl's b'day pressie.
Can i pay by money order/cash? How do they get sent home? Is there anything else i need to know?
Thanks

If you are ordering thru' school, Manda, you pay whichever way you choose and the school sends the cheques and money orders plus their own cheque for any cash payments directly to Scholastic.
I have never ordered online....only had school orders when the TT was at Primary....but I'm sure if you Emailed their Customer Service any questions would be answered.
The books are fantastic and are realistically grouped according to age; the refunds are done with no problems; the incentives offered to schools are a bonus too but beware of any software....some is from America and of course does not match our systems..
I ran the TT's school's Book Club for many years without any dramas....but I think this online is great.

there books are great but i joined up with the group ones where they automatically sent u 4 or 2 books a month and u had to pay for them so i ended up cancelling it coz i got in debt with them but if u r only ordering every now and then im sure its fine and im sure u can pay with a money order and then get the books sent to your house

I remember getting these when I was in primary school-almost 17 years ago! I always thought getting books was a treat back then...

Heather already answered :) but I either pay by credit card or pay the school cash or cheque and they make out their own cheque to Scholastic. I've bought books from them since my kids started school and have no complaints.

It depends whether or not kids are advanced readers whether it's worth doing or not. I remember the book club from when I went to primary school but the books for my age group were always way behind what I was up to. :dk:
I loved to read but their idea of what a 3rd grader should be reading and my idea were two completely different things. :)

They have 5 or 6 levels in primary school now and it really does cover a good range. We just received our next batch home and the kids are working out which one they want :)

I used to get book club books all the time in primary school too.
The Ashton Scolastic factory is a few suburbs from us and each year they have a massive sale, Ive been a couple of times but not for a few years, we picked up so many books for like 50c each and cheaper.
Good Luck with it Manda:)
