I'm having one of those days - I'm sunburnt (yes I had sunscreen on but that bottle is obviously heading for the bin), I'm exhausted (bub has had several shocking nights), my hands are incredibly itchy and mildly painful due to eczema that no-one seesm to have a cure for (had it less than a year so there must be something!), the pool pump will not work no matter how hard I try, my ankles are swelling slightly, and hubby is currently away so I can't delegate a few tasks!

On the plus side, I have had no morning sickness, the older two are back at school and bub is currently asleep :) Shouldn't complain should I? :)

Okay, the other was guy I knew a bit - around 20 and his dad - very, very sad now :( Need to go back to singing and ballet so will ring you later sis - unless you're having a baby by then :)

sorry to hear about the accident. hope everyone's alright. as for eczema..there is a cream here for that that supposedly works very well. my friend from school gets it on her elbows and uses a cream for it, which it will go away..and every one of us needs to whinge at times!

I used to get eczema on my hands and we couldn't figure out what was causing it but it disappeared when I got pregnant and hasn't come back so I put it down to hormones as that was the only thing that changed it :dk: maybe it is happening in reverse for you!
Sunburn sux!! whinge all you like!!

Thanks girls :) I didn't know the people in the accident that well but friends did so I feel for them. Such a sad thing.

As for the sunburn - still hurts :(. Bub woke up maybe 50 times last night (slight exaggeration :hehe:). Was talking to someone I know yesterday evening and she saw my hands - apparently she owns a natural remedies company so she's coming to visit this morning - thinks it might be a vitamin deficiency given the lotions don't work. It started at Xmas and I think as a result of some new creams I was using. Initially it was my hands and face - the face cleared quite quickly with cortisone and the hands started to. But, the hands keep breaking out and I can't work out what is causing it. So, fingers crossed it's as simple as a vitamin deficiency!

Kerrie....you have to look at the positives:
..at least now you know the sunscreen is useless,
..if you're tired, hopefully so will the baby....gives you a very good excuse to forget everything and just sit/lie with your feet up, a good book or vegetate in front of the TV,
..pool pump will just have to wait won't it...the kids can have quality time with you instead watching movies (see above),
..have to help your ankles....feet elevated while completing the above task,
..itchy hands, time to take yourself off for a relaxing hand massage with relaxing, calming oils and oatmeal, hey the kids can do that for you all the while .....relaxing, vegetating, cooling down whatever in front of the TV.

I saw the news reports about last nights accident....shocking.

Just a thought-can eczema be caused by stress??:DIf it came on around Chrissie it would make sense? I mean it may not be eczema:)it may be a like psorias(??) because isn't that bought on by stress.Anyway think about it if it's not a lack of vitamins.

i dont have eczema but dermatitis is kinda the same thing and that is caused by hormones jumping, stress or some people even get it from cleaning products if they r allergic. i got my dermatitis when i was pregnant from the stress and hormones and then once i left my ex it went away a bit but now i still get it every now and then especially if its very hot. so it could be a type of dermatitis if its on your hands which means it could be your hormones, stress or maybe u need to change your cleanin products like dishwashing liquid or soaps. i use DermAid or somethin like that which u just rub on your hands and in a few days it goes depending how bad it is but i only use it when its really bad.

I sometimes get dermatitis from stress and some detergents, my mum gets it really bad, her doctor has been telling her for years to jump up and down and scream and yell, get it all out when she's upset, instead of bottling everything up inside and then having her skin breakout.

Sorry to hear about that tragic accident, hope your feeling better soon:hug:

A friend suggested the same thing Kimba but the doctor yesterday said no - definitely contact eczema because of the way it only covers parts of the hands. If I could pinpoint what caused it I would be able to fix it! :)

Heather, they sound exactly like the things I tell people all the time :) There's always a silver lining if you look for it hard enough :D

My Doc said it was from something I was using too Kez as it was only on the palms of my hands but I changed all my detergents/moisturisers etc and it didn't help so I went back to what I was using and still use now and it has been gone for 2 years now- ever since I got pregnant!
