Oh what a morning!

I don't normally shop at Dimmys, I never join the fight to get to the goods on the racks, I rarely even ever read the junk they keep putting in my letterbox (Letterbox to wheelie bin, no questions asked) HOWEVER....... this changed when on the weekend Kaitlyn brought me the rubbish from the letterbox, and being bored I actually read it!

Reading it led me to a big sale at Dimmys today, and hell was it a sale and a half! There were people everywhere! People going crazy for mens jeans/dress pants and sheets... yep! bloody bed sheets, people were going crazy for them!

I've been wanting to get new sheets for a while (it's one of those things that I never end up doing) so when I read the catalogue saying that sheets were all from $2 each, I thought OK great! If I knew I'd be knocked and shoved I'm not sure I would of bothered. People, grown bloody women, were all knocking into each other, shoving, they don't even bother to say 'Excuse me'! They were so bloody rude, nobody would help each other, there were little old ladies getting ignored and banged around. This one lady was looking for the single sheets in the queens sheet section, she was asking other women where the singles are and they were too wrapped up in themselves to even give a shit, I helped her.

I lost Shanti in the herds of pushing women, I finally made eye contact with her but I couldn't get to her, she was looking at me screaming (she was so scared she lost me, for about 1 minute!) I was trying to get to her, people could see that I was trying to get to my very upset child and they didn't care at all! I lost so much faith in people today.

On a brighter note, I ended up getting 6 single flat sheets @ $2 each, 2 Queen flat sheets @ $4 each and a queen set (1 flat sheet, 1 fitted and 2 pillow cases) for $6. They're nice colours and I'm quite happy with them, but next time I need sheets I think I'll just make a lay-by and pay it off, or send Kev to the sales!

P.S. Don't believe everything the catalogues say, I actually went there for the single sets (1 flat, 1 fitted and 2 pillow cases) which were advertised at $4 each and they didn't even have any! I was in there half hour after the doors opened so it's not like i missed out, they just didn't get any in stock.:head:

Ohh they're not too bad Di, they're abit thin, not the ones I'd normally buy and they certainly wont last forever but they'll be great for summer.

Di Kmart are really bad for that, I haven't been to a KMart sale in a long time, they never have any stock in for the advertised specials that I want and its been like that for years.

What a great bargain you got Laura, you should have been able to get a rain check for the ones they didn't have in, I'm pretty sure that is law now.
