DS got a job!

:y:well today DS got a phonecall regardin a job he had applied for:yes:it is a trades assistants job carpet laying:yes:and local.Well they rang to see if he was interested in starting today and he is on trial:yes:they even came and picked him up from home:yes:he said he could be dropped off and they said no problem we will pick you up and drop you at the jobsite:yes:(the bosses wife)so :y:he was all excited and keen :)me too :DI am so happy and I hope it works out for him as he has been so keen and applying for work etc. anyway ladies just wanted to share my news:yes:I told him Nan and will go to lunch at the pub to celebrate:cheers::hehe:

ok update ladies:DDS went to work and was dropped off just after 3 by his boss:yes:who is going to pick him up and drop him off everyday:yes:so he doesnt have to worry about transport:yes:they live local and I was quite prepared to get up at 5 every morning ad drop him off but I wont have to worry now:)DS came home extremely happy,said he had a great day and it was the best job and he felt already that he loved it better than he last jobs:Dthe money is excellent:yes:they said he should average $550 per week and they travel all over:yes:will be working in Gympie at the end of the month. Boss said that every now and then they work nights and big pay involved there:yes:the boss even said to DS he would pick him up at the end of drive so he didnt wake us up ,very considerate of him:) we have a long drive.
So all up ladies DS had a great day and is really keen with it:yes:I am one proud Mum tonight:D
The boss asked him if he had ever done the job before and DS replied "no" the boss replied "Well I could have swore you had ,you have done heaps better than any others I have ever worked with:)DS is just beaming like this tonight:D sorry if I have bored anyone but I am just soo proud atm.

thanks ladies....funny thing is he was suppose to have an interview this morning for another job and they had told him yday to call at 8 am this morning to arrange it,well he tried and just got messagebank so he left a message and the people didnt even bother to follow up,oh well there loss and I am a true believer in everything happens for a reason:Dworked out well in the end:yes:

im glad it is all going well sandy!!! the boss seems very nice too and he has made it easier on u also as u dont have to drive him. if hes gettin $550 a week and gettin experience hes better off doin that then an apprenticeship. they pay crap now. his pay would prob go down to only $300 or so a week on an apprenticeship so hes better off doin work for this guy coz like he said once he has lots of experience all he has to do is do a management course at tafe and can run his own one which will be great. he must be feeling great about himself too!

ok update they are now talking apprenticeship:yes:DS just spoke to bosses wife and she said they would like to offer him that and that they are both very happy with his work,he told them that he dont mind working now and then on weekends but wont be working every weekend as was only advertised Monday to Friday and he would like to have some time on weekends with family and his gf and some r and r and they said thats fair enough:yes:so he is off again at 5 tmrw morning till 2pm:)
