Thanks Sandy

My ex hubby and I camped the whole way across Australia, when we drove from Perth to Sydney, it was excellent sleeping under the stars.

I think I would be more into camping if we had a camper trailer or maybe a small caravan. :hehe:

I like to camp in comfort now....my days of being able to sleep comfortably on a thin camp mattress are well and truly over methinks  Although the current camp mattress we have is great - it takes up a lot more room but is much more comfortable than others we have tried.

i dont go anymore but when i was little my dad used to camp on his friends property as dads a rabbit trapper so we used to go heaps and it was real camping like in a tent with a fire no toilets or nothin lol! but now when dad goes there he stays right up the bak of the same friends property but in a little cabin thing, we went there once and it was great but very cold there.

Bloody Hell Sandy, Mungo Brush was my first & last camping experience although we did often go there after that to visit friends that camped there, i remember the xmas we were there it was a big speed boat race on the river & a storm came & almost washed everyone & the boats away lol we had bloody big eels washing up to the tents ( we had a caravan ) but Sandy i need real loo's when i am anywhere so really i just wanted to go home, i think the inlaws all thought i was a snooty bitch because i did'nt fit into their camping hols but hey, camping is'nt for everyone but you are right Mungo Brush is a beautiful part of the Myall Lakes

I love camping, my first hubby and would always spend holidays with the kids and groups of friends camping we used to have a ball tenting,
now I am older and second hubby even older we have a camper van, has all the facility's, but some how not the same as lying in bed in a tent listening to the rain

I have to admitt I love to take the kids camping. Have only been two times but can't wait till we go again. Where we go there are toilets but you need a packed lunch to get to them :hehe: The kids use a bucket and when one of the adults go up to the toilets they empty the bucket. I know lazy but hey it is better than spending all day going to and from the toilet with one or the other of the kids. It has rained both times I went but still had a great time, we put up tarps over the tents and around the shelter that was there. It was very homely, the kids looked like little black fellows but they had heaps of fun playing in the rain. Thank god they had a shower before going to bed.

We did heaps of camping when the kids were younger. We have camped all over, my fav is when we camped on Moreton Island, and waking up every morning looking at the gorgeous Moreton Bay.
My least fav was camping at Wyangla Dam in 50 degree heat, and having a 3 month old baby, and this was real camping, in a tent. That did my head in, and we haven't been camping since. Maybe when my DD is a little bit older........maybe not...:D
