Have any of you ever experienced or heard of developing morning sickness in the second trimester? I'm about 5 months and have been vomitting off and on for just over a week now. I'll be fine for a day or two then suddenly very sick and vomitting. I know I need to see a doctor but they're just going to say, it's a bug, nothing we can do. As no-one else in the family has picked it up yet though, I started wondering about morning sickness...

Kezz i know I'm old lol but, i remember with my last child i was actually vomiting for the whole pregnancy i also developed migraines that lasted for days as well. everyone is different but i would still like you to go to the Dr just to let him know, i hope it does'nt last too much longer.
How is Kimba & her baby?

I didn't develop it in the second trimester but it lingered well into the second trimester. The nausea came back again at the end of the pregnancy but lucky not the vomiting.

I would see a doctor or call the midwives at the hospital, it might be something else entirely and I think it's best to have it checked out, especially as it has started quite suddenly.

Yes....I had morning sickness for 19 hours a day for the first 8 months....but I haven't heard of it starting later.
No doubts about it....go and see a Doctor.

What the other girls said most likely normal but best not to take chances, go see your doc.

I think my sister may have got it in her 2nd trimester (but not the first) I think it may have had to do with her iron levels being a little low from memory. You should mention it to your doc just in case :)

With my first pregnancy I had morning sickness (or ALLDAY sickness rather) for the first trimester only, and less than that with my other three pregnancies.

My mother had it for 9 months with her pregnancies, there was nothing wrong with her, some get it the whole way, some don't, but I would advise seeing your doctor/midwife about it, if anything to put your mind at rest.

Good luck and stock up on the dry crackers!;)

i also heard it being common for women to have morning sickness throughout their pregnancy..definitely check it out though! doubt it's a bug if no one else is catching it and i think it's normal to get morning sickness again. my SIL is almost in her second trimester now and has the same thing-a couple days she fine and the next few days she has morning sickness.

My doctor is away and there doesn't seem to be any gps around here who deal with anti-natal care. In the town where we were, private health wasn't an issue, but I find myself once again kicking myself for not getting it this time round! The only doctor I had found in the area who I had much faith in resigned 2 weeks ago. I know I should see someone, but I have seen so many who either give antibiotics to anyone who sees them, or gives vague answers that are basically "no idea". I've been to the hospital twice for the kids and htey misdiagnosed both times! I know I'm just making excuses :) but I really hate wasting time waiting 3/4 of an hour for a doctor who's running late and not having a decent answer at the end of the visit. But, I also hate vomitting every other day and the nausea is really affecting my days, so I suppose I will have to get off my butt and do something! :D

Di, Kimba is well and so is bub. She's still a bit sore and tired I think but all is going well. She'll be back online before you know it! And I don't have any photos to post so you'll have to wait for Kimba.

Morning sickness was totally different with all my pregnancies, with my 3rd I had it for about a month or so at the beginning then it started again when I was about 4 months pregnant and continued nearly every day until I was 6 months and went and got acupuncture done and I was only sick about 3 times after that.
And I agree with everyone else...go see a doctor:)

there needs to be a good doctor somewhere around you..maybe ask a friend that might be pregnant now or someone who recently had a child that you know who their doctor was..glad that kimba and the baby are doing well. :)

Saw a doctor yesterday that I didn't realise did obstetrics. He doesn't believe it's pregnancy related as it's rather late to start mroning sickness. he ruled out everything else as I'm otherwise healthy. So, apparently a tummy bug that is behaving strangely - ie, no-one else has it yet and it's lasting a while. In the meanwhile, had a rotten night last night with tummy cramps and feel terrible this morning. On a vaguley good note, I now weigh less than when I fell pregnant! Lucky I have the extra kilos that this isn't a worry :D

LMAO Heather, I have a 16 month old at home with me! The other two have just arrived from school and hubby leaves at 6 am and is rarely home before 6:30 pm.
