what's the story with Stef? Is she having treatment? Why isn't she telling what's his name (husband)?

No she's not having treatment until Charlie is born cause she doesn't wanna risk the babies life even though hers is more at risk this way. She doesn't wanna tell Max (husband) cause they just got back together and after what he done she obviously doesn't trust him fully cause he will just nag her to have treatment and she doesn't want to. Karl said it's too early for them to even c section the baby she has to wait a couple months I think but the cancer is obviously getting worse after watching it tonight.

okay, but what is she hiding from Max, why does Dr Karl keep telling her she needs to tell Max? Is she sicker than she was?

yep she has been feeling more ill since she went on holiday with her mum - and i think it's getting worse. i'm guessing that karl is pressuring steph to tell max because they're somewhat close and he doesn't want to keep lying to him for her.

Yup exactly. From last nights episode you can tell she's gettin worse bein more tired and the fever last night. Only Susan and Karl really know how bad it's getting.

thanks girls. I rarely get a chance to watch it these days and the whole Stef thing just makes me shake my head. Don't get why she didn't have treatment in the early days when she knew the risk to the babe was small. Seems to be a no-brainer to me - much better for bub to have mum around than not! Surely ending up as ill as she no doubt will is hardly any good for the baby who will probably then need to be born too early anyway.

I think the main problem there was she went through so much to fall pregnant in the first case. They went through IVF, ran out of money, tried to adopt - that backfired. She had given up, then discovered she was finally pregnant.. so the last thing she wanted to do was anything that might put her baby at risk, no matter how remote this was.

Isn't it funny how we can become so involved in these people's pretend lives?
I am very guilty of it, I often find myself in tears when someone in one show or another leaves or dies. Funny how the mind works isn't it because deep down inside we know it is fictional yet it is still able to evoke such strong emotional responses from us.

SO has she had the baby YET?? Last I saw the tumour was growing fast and she's still saying No. But then they said she was 35 weeks - I have a friend who had a bub at 35 weeks and she was fine, didn't even need to go to the SCN. The story line is a bit unbelievable. I don't think many people would make the decision she is making at this point in the pregnancy. Did Max get back from *wherever*?

Hmmmm no Max isn't back from seeing Summer wherever she's living atm. But I think next week Stef has Charlie and Max must make it back. But don't trust my word for ir lol I only seen a pic on the cover of tv week didn't actually read the story. Maybe someone that buys it can tell us what happens??

Max is still over in Fiji but getting the first available flight back, but they don't know when that will be.. there was a preview tonight Karl says the baby is in better shape than Stef..

She's decided to have the baby now before Max gets back :) . I think the dreams that she's been having while in hospital about Charlie are scaring her.

I cant stand the Steph character, she is so whiney and self centred. But I like Max and hope things work out for them.

Have you ever noticed how Aussie soaps are going like American ones where they never have a couple who can just be happy?

I saw tonight (had to watch the baby's birth) - yes, I cried :jump: So ... does Steph live?

(Edit - he was a big baby, and clean too, for a newborn ;) )

Oh did she have it? I missed it. I seen a contraction and it was kinda lame lol.

I missed it too. The last part I saw was her lame breathing/panting, no sweat, makeup perfect...I yeah sured it and went and had a bath. Daughter #2 called out to let me know the baby had been born. I asked was it wet, she said a little but it had no cord. So even a 13 year old knows how fake these shows are.

Yeah I did think, heh - she looks better than I did coming out of labour, and I didn't have a life threatening illness. And she was able to talk between contractions even at the end ... by that point I was just so far in the zone no way was I capable of having a conversation ... maybe that was just me though.

all about steph and a little bit with Max, Summer and Boyd trying to get to the hospital from the airport (traffic chaos, phone battery flat and ran out of petrol on a deserted road :roll: ) Oh and a little moment of nostalgia for Karl and Susan when their kiddies were born, just to keep that tension between them going.

No, we didn't find out her secret.. Susan did "the right thing" and told Katya her secret was safe, and then told her she could have the kids. Whats the bet the kids end up back on Susan's door?

yeah, I wondered if it was prostitution or drugs, but would that be enough to stop her getting custody of the children, given she is clean now? Maybe she gave a child up for adoption or had the child removed? Maybe they're just going to allude to this 'secret' and never say anything now that Susan has 'given' them to her. What I don't get is if Susan loves them so much and there is this big secret in Katya's past that means she'd lose a court case, how can Susan let them go to her? Neighbours is just dragging out the story lines at the moment.
