Well I guess it makes a nice change from the Nigerian scams ...

I often wonder if anyone actually falls for those things.

I'm not really a fan of A current Affair but did see something once on it about someone losing a lot of money on one of those sort of things.. A lot of people just have no idea.

I read a story about someone in the UK trying to crack the Nigerian scams. He was in IT so he set up all of these false names and address so he could never be traced. He then replys to the emails and gets the scamsters at their own game.

He apparently has received lots of death threats on email but nothing can ever be traced back.

Still scary though, I would never reply to any of these scamsters and certainly wouldn't try and goad them on!

Oh and Laura - you did get me into the thread with the $1million dollar line though! LMAO

WIDOW TO LATE JOHN COLLINS. I AM 56YEARSOLD,

I AM NOW A NEW CHRISTAINCONVERT, SUFFERING FROM LONG TIME CANCER OF
THE BREAST, FROM ALL INDICATION MY CONDITIONS IS REALLY
DETERIORATING AND IT IS QUITE OBVIOUS THAT I WONT LIVE MORE THAN SIX
MONTHS,ACCORDING TO MY DOCTORS, THIS IS BECAUSE THE CANER STAGE HAS
GOTTEN TO A VERY BAD STAGE.

MY LATE HUSBAND KILLED DURING THE U.S. RAID AGAINST TERRORISM
AFGHANISTAN,AND DURING THE PERIOD OF OUR MARRIAGE WE COULDNT PRODUCE
ANY CHILD.

MY LATE HUSBAND WAS VERY WEALTHY AND AFTER HIS DEATH, I INHERITED
ALL HIS BUSINESS AND WEALTH. THE DOCTORS HAS ADVISED ME THAT I MAY
NOT LIVE FOR MORE THAN SIX MONTHS, SO I NOW DECIDED TO DEVIDE THE
PART OF THIS WEALTH, TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CHURCH
IN AFRICA, AMERICA ASIA,AND EUROPE. I PRAYED OVER IT. I AM
WILLING TO DONATE THE SUM OF $5,000.000.00 MD U.S DOLLARS, TO THE

THE FELLOWSHIP OF GOD BE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

Hi Laura, There must be an email scam going both ways. There is one appearing here in Australia saying we have won a lottery prize in the UK. If only it was that easy to win money.
