I'm just soooo super excited.... Can you tell?? :jump: LMAO

We have only just started about a month ago, but I think we may be pregnant already!! I haven't tested yet, but AF is now 3 days late and I have the early pregnancy symptoms. I have been waiting for this for a long time and I so hope that it happens fast for us.

For those who want to know. Jay and I were engaged 2 years ago, but broke up. We had 2yrs apart and are now back together. We are not engaged again yet as I've told him that he has to plan something totally awesome for the proposal since the last one was not all that good :( He has agreed though and I have a feeling it's not far off. We move into our own house after Thursday this week and it's all happening. I'm so excited. I'm finally getting the family that I've always wanted and I GOT THE LOVE OF MY LIFE BACK!!!!

Life is good right now :y:

xx Mel

It must have been a really long time since you were because I thought your bloke's name was Stew...but then I have a bad memory for such things :headh:

Congratulations, hope everything works out for the best :)

I was with Stew, but we broke up a long long time ago. I don't live in Canberra anymore. I'm back in Brisbane where I am originally from. Back with my family and friends :)

Congratulations on possible impending motherhood:)What happened with Stew??And how did u end up with Jay again??

MiSsMeLz
24-11-2007, 10:21 PM
Umm Stew and I were just never going to work. He was way too immature for me and I just couldn't handle him. In the end I was picking fights just for the sake of it.

Jay and I started talking again a while ago and worked out that the reasons we broke up weren't justified. My so-called best friend was the reason for everything, so we sorted everything out and are back on track now. We obviously needed the break though. Our relationship is so much better now and we're heaps happier :D

Don't you think you should do a test to find if your pregnant before we start saying congratulations? Do a home pregnancy test and then go to your GP and have a blood test?

MiSsMeLz
25-11-2007, 12:30 PM
I never asked anyone to say congratulations. I was just excited about the whole TTC part of it and just wanted to share. I think maybe everyone that has said congratulations have said it because I finally get to start TTC, not because I'm possibly pregnant!!

Thank you to everyone that has said congrats :D I will be doing a HPT either today or tomorrow morning, so will let you know what the outcome of that is. Fingers crossed hehe.

If it's not too personal a question MiSsMeLz, what did your best friend do? (You don't have to detail the situation if you don't want to.)

PS - Sorry to be daft...what's Ttc mean?

MiSsMeLz
25-11-2007, 12:52 PM
TTC means Trying To Conceive. I will PM you the details of what the best friend did :)

Well I hope it all turns out the best for you. I wonder if the new government will get rid of the "Baby Bonus"?

Truth
25-11-2007, 05:36 PM
i remember how it felt when i saw those two lines its priceless...... enjoy the moment... its exciting and scarey at the same time
i guess im blessed i got to see those two lines 8 times

Naomi

Congratulations.

You don't need to get a blood test to confirm it, most doctors will take a positive HPT and just do another urine test to confirm but it is a good idea to get it confirmed ASAP as obstets lists fill up quickly (if you are going private) and birth centres book out quickly (if you want to use a birth centre) so it's a good idea to get a referral quickly either way.

ALexa, the government has no intention of scrapping the maternity payment (the 'baby bonus' was a different payment that the previous government scrapped when they introduced the maternity payment). I believe there was some scare mongering to the effect that the new govt would abolish the lump sum payment but that is not one of their policies.

Early days yet but congratulations nonetheless :)

:fx: for a safe pregnancy for you and baby

MiSsMeLz
26-11-2007, 10:13 AM
Thanks everyone. I was wondering about the baby bonus as well, but I'm glad to know that the maternity payment is still there :)

I'm seeing the dr this morning at 10.15, so we'll see what he says in regards to the blood test or doing their own. I don't mind either way as I have really deep veins and it usually takes the vampires ages to get a good one to drain from lol.

Will let you know how I go :D

Thanks for all the congrats ladies. I appreciate it and yes seeing those 2 little pink lines is an incredible feeling. I know what you mean about being excited but scared at the same time. Its amazing to think that I have a little person growing inside of me. I didn't think this day would ever come hehe.

Kimba - I've tried the water thing. Nothing seems to work for me

I am thrilled it happened so quickly. Its amazing. We have our first scan booked in for the 21st Jan. I will be 13 weeks by then. I cant wait to see my little bubba. That is 8 days before Jays birthday, so he's loving the idea of his early birthday present of being able to see his baby :jump:

Now Kekka you one smart lady :jump:of course the baby should support the Geelong Football Club (in the AFL).

I thought Truth meant coz I said "he's" gunna be a Lions fan. We're just hoping its a boy :D

What could be wrong with the dates? Thats what the Dr told me so thats what we're going with :)

Congratulations on the BFP. we are TTC at the moment and it's a real eye opener for me considering our first was a bit of a shock! :) so the fact we are actually *thinking* about all this stuff is a bit weird LOL!

Thanks everyone. I'm 7 weeks and 4 days pregnant now. It seems to be flying already. I swear it was only yesterday that I was telling you all that I got the BFP, but that was 3 weeks ago now!! Still no morning sickness which is awesome. I get an occasional bout of nauseousness every now and then, but it's only maybe once a week if that. If I only get occasional morning sickness, I'm fine with that hahaha.

i guess it depends on the person! she also felt nauseous and threw up a couple days ago-i know that is normal and some women only have morning sickness in their first trimester and there are those who can have it in their second too. she just didn't really understand why she hasn't felt that way in awhile and all of a sudden she did! (but then again we were in a taxi, it was so stuffy, and the roads in new york are bumpy! i guess that explains why!)

Hey all,

Sorry its been a while since I was in here to update :)

We had our first scan on new years eve. Everything is good. The baby has a nice strong heartbeat of 167bpm and is currently about 2.27cm long. Big kid hey!! LOL.

Haven't really had any cravings apart from salty foods only. I eat my fave food of chocolate occasionally, but only very rarely. Half the time I look at it and think "umm yuck, no thanks" and its my FAVE!! Not impressed about that LOL.

Guess what???? STILL NO MORNING SICKNESS!! It's great. I love that I can still eat and drink whatever I want, coz nothing is making me sick LOL.

Oh and guess what else???? I'M 10 WEEKS AND 1 DAY PREGNANT NOW!! Dog gammit is going fast. I've heard that it seems to slow down after a while though and I'm not looking forward to that. I just want to be holding my baby already.

Anywayz, I think that is it for now. Thanks for all the new congrats :)

xx Melz
