Did anyone get an opportunity to see the Constant Gardener with Rachel Weisz and Ralph Fiennes. It was such a wonderful film and very sad. It is based on a John le Carre novel. The premise of the plot is that they are a husband and wife (Justin and Tessa) and they live in Kenya. Justin is a diplomat and Tessa is an activist but Tessa is murdered and Justin must investigate what happened. He risks his own life, stopping at nothing to uncover and expose the truth - a conspiracy more far-reaching and deadly than Justin could ever have imagined. I really recommend it if you are looking for a movie which is more than just Friday night fluff.

Saw it, and yes it is brilliant...
She won Best Supporting Actress Oscar...I think she is fantastic.
Have you seen Munich?
Another good one is Syriana with George Clooney...something else to get the grey matter thinking.

I am yet to see Munich but it is on the must see list. I did think Syriana was an excellent movie too.

I like movies that make you think. The Quiet American was one we saw on DVD recently, stars Brendan Fraser and Michael Caine (in serious roles!).

I enjoyed the Constant Gardener, it makes you think how lucky we are here in OZ. I think though it is a ladies film as my insensitive 16yr old daughter and husband thought it was too slow for them.

I hired it on DVD a little while ago. It was a very good movie and I thought quite corrupted. It was sad too but it really told the story well.

There is a booked written by John Le Carr and it is a bit slow but it kinda fills in a few of the gaps that the movie left out...
