I'm so excited, my favourite reality tv show returns March 28. I know there's a couple of you who like the show as well. I'm not sure what time but I saw a promo for it while watching the Commonwealth Games.

I think it's already aired in the US and this time around Ch 9 isn't showing episodes as soon as they are aired overseas.

Anyway, Friday night is better for me as nothing else is on Friday nights but you can't have everything I suppose. I've read about the new contestants in this week's TV Week. There's this one woman who was meant to be on the last season Survivor, but her son was tragically killed so she had to pull out.

Have you noticed that at the end of each promo there is a little teaser . . . . like the 4 tribes, being separated from the tribe etc.......

Here is a small write up about it:

Stranded on an island off the coast of Panama, 16 strangers must live together and compete for the million-dollar prize. This time, the castaways will begin their competition as four tribes: older men, older women, younger men and younger women. At least one survivor each week will be banished to a separate island miles away from camp. While being separated from the tribe is not desirable, the castaways will learn that there is a hidden Immunity Idol somewhere on Exile Island. If found, this Immunity Idol could save an individual from being voted out at a future Tribal Council.

How will this change the game? Who will outwit, outplay and outlast all others?

So, what did everyone think of the first episode?

I checked online and found out the US are way ahead of us this time so I'm going to try and not look at spoilers from now on.

I found it interesting how the castaways were split into groups according to their age and gender. The younger males are USELESS and the older guys are actually doing well. But it's still early to pick a favourite.

I'm glad they got rid of that Tina woman. I think that's what her name was. She annoyed me.

Looking forward to next Tuesday. Finally, something DECENT on tv for a change. Poor Channel 9 needs it, since their ratings tend to be slipping a bit.

I watched it (although I almost forgot it was on!!)

It was good & very interesting. I like Cerie (I think that is her name - the darker lady in the older women's group). The guy that has given up smoking & was getting shitty (in the older guy group) was starting to annoy me.

How hopeless are the younger guys - their 'shelter' was funny & I was expecting someone to to cut a finger when they were trying to light their fire :Hehe: .

The girl who found the turtle was a bit annoying - but then the annoying ones are usually the ones you end up liking :dk: .

I don't have a favourite yet - need to watch a few more episodes :yes:

I wish they would let Aussies apply for the show. I reckon I might last as I'm an experienced bush walker and have been camping. What do you girls think...if you were given the chance, would you go on Survivor?

I'd love to say I could do it but I despise bugs. I run at the sight of a bee or wasp, I am petrified of spiders or any creepy crawly thing that resembles a cockroach or spider. Big moster moths give me heart attacks and I'd probably faint. Physcially, I think I'd do alright (with the challenges etc) - I couldn't eat anything that was alive like that girl did the first night on exile island.

So if there were no bugs or insects - I'd do it LMAO

this week Tuesday 11th April and Wednesday 12th there is an episode each night (wed instead of McLeods:crying: ) not happy...but at least it is something I watch...

we are up to episode 3 or4 now, one of the old ladies was the last to be voted off, now they have merged into two groups instead of four, two team members got to choose who they wanted on thier team. i'm not into it as much as i am into the amazing race, i love that series. my husband likes the surviver series.

i love the amazing race too, but keep getting called into work on Thursday night, so missed the last two...but I watched the first one so I know who the teams are...I have last weeks on tape which I will watch on Wednesday.

So did anyone remember to watch the second episode? I did (only just) and Shane is still there. Althought I have to admit he's quite good at the challenges but not with his people skills. He was giving poor whats-her-name a hard time because he thougt she wasn't working as hard as the others.

I like Cerie, she's cool. Trying not to get involved with all the dramas. But in almost every season I've watched all the contestants I like tend to get voted off.

I can't quite remember what is supposed to happen next week (I think there is a massive storm or something & one of the tribes shelters ends up under water).

I didn't get to see much of tonight's show but I did see tribal council. Austin went :waves: Shane was very quiet tonight at council as well :dk:. Not sure what happened during the show.

I'll be able to catch up a bit on it next week no doubt.
