Hi everyone :)

The last few weeks i have been so stressed over this ear/head problem i have ( I think the Gp is now going to get me to have a brain scan soon)

Anyway i have hardly been sleeping at nights, so that combined with they symptoms i am experiencing. i have been really grumpy and anxious .Well more than usual :headh:

So earlier today DH came home from work and hands me something (with a take away cupachino), and says i hope this will help you hun....

He had gone to our local crystal shop ( he's not into alternative stuff himself ), and had them make me a Jasper bracelet.

I was so surprised that he had done that !

Then he said it was a bit embarrassing getting it , and i said why??

He said i didn't know what to say to the shop owner ... so i said to her ''Have you got anything here to calm my wife down''? :uhno:

I said you've joking, was there customers in the shop which he replied yep ..

I said so what did the shop owner say in response? and he said she just went and showed him which stones/crystals do what, and he chose the ones he thought would be the best for me ..

He said after i think it may have sounded not quite the way i meant it ...

Ya gotta love em' sometimes don't you !! :comfort:

Anyway i have it on now waiting for it to miraculously turn me into a calm wife :jump:

I'm sure he didn't mean anything by it Julie, he's probably just worried for you :)

I have to admit I don't know whether I believe in a lot of that stuff myself but you have to admire the man for trying.

Thanks Sw :)

Yeah i just saw the humour in it, i wasn't really offended..

I am into alternative stuff myself, well not as much i used to be.. have got a bit slack in that area..

We even had a alternative style wedding in 2004, which DH went happily along with (even those he's very conservative in his ways of thinking)

hehe... they have a strange way of putting things!! it was sweet of him to do that for you though..regardless of how it came out!! :)

i hope you feel better soon!!

speaking of things they say... my DF many months ago now referred to me as "thunder thighs" one night!! :brow: as you can imagine i didnt take it to well (and have always been a little too sensitive about my weight!!) and the poor thing was rather bewildered to find me rather teary about it in the bathroom!!!

he clearly had no understanding of the term (so i tell myself!!) and had not said it in a hurtful way!!

who knows what they think sometimes...:)

Aww, I think it's sweet - it was lovely that he thought of it, and he did try :) AND at least you got a coffee as well :hehe:

Hope you can get some good rest at least, that can't be helping your other symptoms :( Have you tried valerian to help with the sleeping?

Oh no ! eeeeK !

Yeah they have a way of saying it as it is, even if it's not tactful.. I don't think they ever mean it in a malicious way it's just that they don't think sometimes do they ! ;)

I think that's really sweet! :) I can't imagine my hubby even thinking of something like that. And so great of him to step outside his own comfort zone to consider yours :D

How nice of him to do that for you. He sounds very caring.
Have to admit I have quite a few Crystals hanging around the place. Good Feng shui :D
