Stumbleupon is a great way to find new sites and articles as well as network with others with similar interests.

It is also a great way to bring traffic to your site. If you aren't stumbling..you should be!
Meg wrote a great article, Stumbleupon for beginners (http://blogpond.com.au/2007/07/15/beginners-guide-to-stumbleupon/) to get your started.

My username is crazymeezer (http://crazymeezer.stumbleupon.com)

Let us know yours so we can add each other.

I am on StumbleUpon, I think as Riayn. However, I haven't really used any of its features, except for just Stumbling around the internet.

Gee sometimes I am so slow LOL.. I only just figured out what stumbleupon is, that and del'.cio.us ROFL.... I don't really know how it works but I have really enjoyed following other peoples links so I am signing up right now (ever the follower!) - my usual name (katef) was taken boohoo so I am picklebum :)

Now to go figure how it all works.. or just waste some more time surfing!

Leigh I have been making a point of stumbling each of your articles (and this forum) daily. I hope that it is helping.

I have a new stumbleupon strategy. Rather than sitting and stumbling the nest one to be thrown up, as I have in the past, I now stumble each of my friends blogs as I am in them. I have a morning routine where I attempt to visit each blog on my blogroll. Before I exit, I give them the big green thumbs up. It has worked to save me time. Although I don't now get the chance to read new blogs and sites, at least I can service those existing sites that I have respect and time for.

I always stumble Aussie sites when ever I come upon them. This is my strategy for helping to get the Aussie blogosphere happening bigger time.

How does stumbling a blog lead to people coming there (since Megan stumbled mine for me - thanks Megan :D I had about 200 extra visitors or something!!!). I have the stumble bar (no idea about my actual details though - I tend to sign up for these things and then completely forget to go there again) but wonder what happens when you stumble someone else's post.

On the toolbar, there is a stumble button. Clicking it you will get a random site related to the topics you add in your preferences. So that is how people will come to your site.

Okay, I've logged in and my user name is lightening74 if anyone would like to add me. I'm in the process of attempting to add all of you - will see how successful I am.

Thanks for that explanation Leigh. Is there anyway of knowing that someone has stumbled a post other than via the statcounter which shows visitors coming from there?

What I tend to do is go to the page where I want to check, then click the review button in the tool bar..which is the little speach bubble.

This will bring up the people who have reviewed and stumbled that page.

That's a great idea Megan - I will start doing that each morning as well :)

I just went to add you Lightening and you already beat me to it :hehe:

Thanks Barbara. Once I had managed to find Leigh, I just started pinching people straight from her list. :) Made it easier.

My StumbleUpon name is Jenseeya. Thanks Megan for your stumbleupon approach. It's definitely sent me some traffic. I must be more onto doing the same thing and build it into my routine so I don't forget.
