I am a big proponent for using correct spelling and grammar, to the point I will edit my posts two or three times to correct them. I wonder though if everyone feels as strongly as I do about this?
Edit - LOL yes, do feel free to go through my blog and advise me of all the spelling mistakes and grammatical errors!

Some days I am very careful with how I write, edit and display my posts.
Other days I just don't care.
I wish I was better and writing though. I look at others and just feel I suck sometimes LOL.

Spelling, in my mind, is extremely important. I find nothing more off putting than a post full of spelling mistakes - I simply stop reading it halfway through.
Grammar is also important, but I know that mine is not the best - and that is something I need to work on.

You surprise me with how lax you are, given your background...but you are so handy :P Me and my dyslexia fingers must be so annoying.
Sometimes I am careful, and will double check and get others to check for me. Spelling isn't a strong point for me, thank god for firefox spell check!
Other times I am in a rush a let some terrible mistakes go through.
I think I find bad use of words more cringe worthy... seen instead of saw is a big one :headh:

I am terrible on forums and chat rooms, my spelling and grammar goes right out the window LOL
Oh yes, incorrect use of words ... the "I seen .." really makes me cringe. Then there are the mistakes that are quite baffling until you read them out aloud like "pre-madonna" for "prima donna" and "something a rather" for "something or other". Words that aren't even words, like "dilemna" for "dilemma" (and I have known several highly educated people use this in all seriousness. I actually had to check the dictionary on this one, thinking I'd been spelling it wrong my whole life).
Things I do struggle with myself though is punctuation when I use () - does the punctuation go inside or outside the ) And also, when and where to use colons and semicolons correctly :hehe:

I tend to write in streams of blather, so for the most part grammar gets shunted. I cringe when a word is spelt incorrectly constantly - eg ridiculous is a big red splat mark for me when it is "rediculous" - and I do edit my posts constantly for little points like that...

I try to make sure that my spelling and grammar is correct. Although I have to go in and fix up one of the articles I wrote for you Leigh - I have an incomplete sentence and I only just realised when I was reading it through and thought that one particular part just didn't sound right.
Having said that, there are oodles of blogs out there along the lines of ICANHASCHEEZBURGER that I overlook the horrendous spelling because it ties in with the theme of the site. :)
I'd be interested to hear what other people think of the "lolcat" language though :hehe:

I love lolcats!..I don't read the blog comments tho, it goes WAY to far for me and I really couldn't be bothered trying to translate.

I am a huge fan of LOLCats! I don't know what I enjoy the most; the gorgeous pictures of cats or the weird captions.
I am finding that more and more LOLCat phrases are entering my daily vocabularly though.

We went away for a few days recently, and there was a square whole in the roof. I swear, it looked just like ceiling cats whole..I giggled to myself every time I looked at it. No amount of explaining could justify my craziness to everyone else :hehe:

I am always careful about grammar and spelling when I write anything, some would say I'm pedantic but the way I see it, visitors to a website are not going to have a lot of confidence in the content if it's full of errors. One or two typos is only human, but if I see a blog or a website with lots of errors I don't have faith in the accuracy of the information contained on the page.
