OK I have finally decided that I should just go live with the new blog and keep tinkering with it behind the scenes or I may never do it!
Still loads of things I need to do and learn but come and say hello...
www.picklebums.com (http://www.picklebums.com)
Please let me know what you think (I have thick skin so don't be shy)- I'd love any and all advice and suggestions as I know there are lots of things that I haven't got quite right yet!
thanks everyone for all your support and ideas while I've been playing, I have learnt heaps and heap loads of fun!

I have refreshed the crap out of it..and it's come back now :hehe:
It looks fab! I like it, nice and clean.
Only suggestion..would be the permalinks.
So instead of http://picklebums.com/?p=759
it would be http://picklebums.com/so-here-we-are/
I'm not a real fan of the share this plugin, especially when it's displayed on every post on your index.
I would pick the few social sites relevant to your site like stumbleupon and add links at the bottom of the posts on the single page link this (http://www.crazymeezer.com.au/2008/01/all-for-women-in-the-media/)

Oh thanks for your great input Leigh....
I have had intermittent 'server can't be found' errors too... tho I know the server is not down as I can access the site via ftp and I can access my subdomain and email... host is working on trying to sort it out but so far we have no clue and thought it was isolated to just me.. bugger that it happened to you too!
Ok now some questions.. I change the permalinks stuff in the options menu yeah??? That stuff has me stumped, had no idea what options I should or shouldn't use so thanks heaps for that.
I have to agree I am not in love with that plug in either... but couldn't find any other easy way to add the one or two links I wanted. Is a better plug in or do you add in the links manually on your blog???
thanks
kate
