I have a slight problem at the moment. My scales for measuring small things like butter is um dead lol I swear it doesn't read the right amount. Sooooo I was wondering if there was a way to convert grams into tablespoons or mls or cups? I don't think there is but I do remember mum used to cook cakes and she used spoons for measurung the butter but that was when I was really little. I've baked a bit recently and everything has had too much butter in it. Sigh. Any help would be great thanks.

I got this out of one of my recipe books......

Butter - 250g = 1 cup or 15g = 1 tbs

Choc Bits - 155g = 1 cup

Coconut - 90g = 1 cup

Cocoa - 100g = 1 cup

Flour - 155g = 1 cup

Golden Syrup/honey - 30g = 1 tbs

Icing Sugar - 125g = 1 cup

Sugar, castor, raw, crystal 250g = 1 cup

Sugar, brown (firmly packed) - 250g = 1 cup

Hope that helps.

Thanks Jewly. It's a start at least I can work off the 250g and work out half and such. Pity I didn't think to ask before I just made a heap of stuff lol. Muffins aren't too bad but the chocolate slice I made looks so buttery LMAO
