haha, i'm planning on having a small wedding myself! i'm not sure what advice you'd like..a vegas wedding is nice, because you'd be able to just go on a honeymoon right after. maybe stay there an extra few days or a week?

50 to 100 guests isn't exactly small Kiki.....small is basically the wedding party and witnesses :hehe:

i wouldn't even call that small stormy. what's the point in having a wedding then?! you might as well just get married in court! LMAO

I got married on Rottnest Island off WA, I had about 12 people at my wedding, got married on the beach, it was magic, had dinner at a beautiful restaurant, had my sister, few friends and that was it, I would do it that way again if I ever got married again...I wore a long white slip dress with a low back, bare feet, hair done with slight waves and a few flowers in my hair, groom wore a suit without a tie and no shoes.

How many people do you want at your wedding?

I would call a small wedding up to say 30 people. My sister had a big wedding, she got married near the Opera House, reception at the Botantic Gardens.

Everyone is different, you should do what is in your budget, what's make you and finance comfortable.

that sounds beautiful alexa..absolutely beautiful. :)
i think everyone has a different opinion on what a small wedding is. a small wedding for me is between 50-100, but i think that's because most weddings i've been to have been very big and extravagant with 200 to 400 people, so maybe that's why. and i've been to at least a dozen.
but i do have to agree with what's in your budget too. :)

The point of having any wedding, even one that is very small is that it is a legally binding ceremony and a symbol of your lifelong commitment to your partner. To me, the dress, the guests, the party and all the other rigmarole involved in a wedding is all superfluous. Whether you have it in a courthouse or on a beach with very few guests doesn't make it any less worthwhile IMO. :)

my hubby & i were together 8 years & had 2 children before we decided to get married.
We had 40 guests including us, got married in the japanese gardens, had bagpipers(as hubby is Scottish) & had our reception at a Chinese restaurant (our wedding was very multicultural :hehe:)
It was beautiful hubby & I did all the invitations, place settings & the booklet for our wedding (all our guests got a booklet) I couldn't imagine doing it any other way.
I'm now helping a close friends friend(if you get it) do their wedding (we call it wedding on a budget).
It costs us $3000 (with change) that included cars, dress & honeymoon weekend.

you don't need a huge wedding to enjoy it, i think a small one is one to remember......:)

oh, i totally agree stormy. :) except DF got married in court, not under god, and i plan on having a holy marriage..i guess that's just my faith and religion talking out though. :) but everyone has a different opinion on what a small wedding is and regardless if it's HUGE or very small, it's still the joining of two people and the lifelong commitment they make to one another. :)
