I've never really been an internet shopper until recently I purchased some beads. It was heaps of fun putting stuff in my "cart", it's just so exciting LOL LMAO !!! Was quite dissapointed when it was time to go through checkout tho as then my cart was then empty

BUT now I have the fun of waiting for my shipment to arrive, I can't wait !! Then might have to go fill another cart LMAO

Hi Chezz,

I'd love to hear about your beads? What kind of things do you make with them? I've used a lot of beads in my cross stitches, my favourite beads are Mill House, but they aren't cheap! I saw a fantastic book, (shh, you know how you sneak a little read of them in the bookstore) just recently showing how many things you can make with beads, even had these gorgeous bags made completely from beads! The book said it was quick and easy, looked like a hell of a job to me, I think the book was telling lies!

I thought I really didn't shop much on the net and then I had a think about it and I have bought airline ticket, my banking, books, computers, ebay (of course), herbs, chocolate, coffee and beads (like Chezz).

I am more of an internet shopper than I thought!

I do heaps of research too before I go to a store and purchase something too!

I put my hands up to being an internet shopper too. I did about half of last years Xmas pressies on the internet. Beats dealing with crowds at shopping centres and trying to find the elusive car park.

Marsha I make jewellry with my beads, mainly earrings. I would love to expand tho and go into all types of beaded jewellry. I am also starting a small business soon selling beads, I just love them! Yes it is amazing the things you can make with beads isn't it. I agree with you, I think that book lied LOL. Actually beading something like that is very intricate and I wouldn't even attempt it. But that's just me, people love beading bags and things. My first shipment of beads arrived the other day, so exciting!

Hi Chezz,

Your beading business sounds really interesting! What kind of beads do you use? I mean, do you stick with one special type? Sorry I'm a bit clueless here.

I love Amber, apparently if you have Amber with an insect in it, it is worth a lot more money or supposed to be Lucky (or so I was told).

Hi Marsha,

I mainly use glass beads as they are so much classier than acrylic. Altho I do like acrylics too but I find them more suitable to childrens jewellry or crafts. But for adult earrings I don't think you can go past glass. My faves would be Czech and Chinese glass beads. I also adore Swarovski Crystal beads. Oh and I love shell beads too.

How would you get Amber with an insect in it? Mmmmmm sorry now I'm a bit clueless LOL. I don't work with any natural stone/gem beads so don't know a great deal about those.

Hi Chezz,

Basically, Amber is fossilized sap of trees. Amber has the ability to preserve any pieces of plants or insects, that get trapped in the amber!

I have visions of you looking extra closely at any Amber beads you might come across now :)
