Well, the builder came round to measure today and should hopefully start building a couple of walls downstairs tomorrow! We have an enormous room downstairs that is divided into two bedrooms (for the kids) and a play area - using furniture to divide. So, they should come home tomorrow to find the frames of their walls in place, if not the whole lot! They don't know about this yet :)

Then, we are also probably going to go with polished cement for the floor there as it seems to be an easy and sensible option after our recent flooding.

Upstairs will soon be sporting bamboo flooring in most of the living areas, a huge bookcase to cover one of the walls and an enormous new deck. So, we will have half a new house! Hopefully before bub is born, or at least by the time I'm out of hospital! Very excited! :D Fingers crossed teh weather eases a bit so it can all happen though!

Well, the frames for the kid's walls are happening today and the giprocking tomorrow. Not sure what is happening after that as this rain is meant to stick around for a few days. The builder said yesterday that he has to start a house in 3 weeks and then he won't be able to do our stuff! Not sure how that works if we only have half a deck...

As a result of the kid's walls though, my computer has to move home yet again - it's only been here about a week! So, I may be offline - how will I cope?! :D
