Hi all

What do you use for internet? We are still on dial up (Dodo) as I haven't been bothered to change to cable (really should as its getting annoying now that we have moved LOL). Its not bad although on busy days like Friday arvo's we can't get on (tonight is a rareity!!)

We are on cable now, after a lot of hassles when we moved in here (bloody Telstra)
I had ADSL at the old house. Moved here and was approved, but after 3 weeks of it not working, they finally decided that I couldn't get ADSL here. So that only left cable, and I had to go with Telstra, I was really pissed off about that. Wouldn't go back now, and don't think I could. I must admit the service has been quite good *touch wood* No way I could survive dial up :O You poor thing.


On a side note, I have a Bigpond ADSL starter kit that I'm going to list on eBay over the weekend. Modem, and all the stuff you need still sealed in its box if anyone is interested :)

Hi Alex,

Sounds like Telstra really know how to drive you round the bend. We have had both ADSL and cable in the past. We had ADSL when we lived out woop woop Moggill (west Brisbane) then we moved closer to the city and we couldn't get cable or ADSL!! How lame :roll: Then we moved house again still in the same suburb and we could get cable. Our speeds rarely changed so we really enjoyed it. We went through internode when we had ADSL whom we thought were pretty good (excellent in comparison to Telstra anyhow!!) :pam:

We are on cable and I couldn't live without it. Our 3 computers are networked so we can share files and I can print wirelessly from my laptop to the printer. Gotta love technology.

I think we are on ADSL- we were on dial up and it was to slow for me to win any prizes on 2mmm. So I made hubby change over- he had wanted to for ages but I wouldn't let him coz of the cost :P

we have adsl but had cable at the last house , I must admit I do prefer cable

it's just that much faster then adsl with less fall outs...we are with optus and

no complaints about thier service.. :)

We have ADSL. I dont know how I ever survived with dialup. I could never go back now!

We have cable.....with Telstra......It seems to be always quick and no probs all round.....
