Well here we go again another huge cyclone going to hit the north west coast. Scary thing this time is WE are on cyclone watch looking at all the weather channels & BOM site news etc we should be safe & only get the rain bearing depression afterwards but even then we will get strong winds & lots of rain. The wind is starting to pick up hmmmm will be an interesting few days me thinks :O

Lets hope you only get the rain you need and nothing else. I've been watching on the weather channel, but I know cyclones in the west are so unpredictable. Remember the one years ago that down to Perth, I was still living there then. Our thoughts are with you Supa:waves: :waves: :waves:

We were lucky over here cyclone Larry hit further up, but we were still on cyclone watch.

I hope it drops in category before it gets to you.

Heard this on the news this morning and wondered where you were in relation.

Please stay safe, I hope it is not as bad as they are predicting. Just a bit of rain is all you want.

Has Perth ever had a cyclone? Things look really rough up there. My Dad used to work up north and had to come home whenever there was a cyclone.

I watched the news where the poor old reporter got battered around a bit.

Yep Natasha we had cyclone Alby in 1978 I remember as I was in grade 7 primary school. It came all the way down the coast.

It happened a year before I was born. And I wasn't even in Australia back then.

I know we have a few mini-tornado's, but nowhere as what the people up North have to go through every year. I hope everyone stays safe.

Well she's gone TG she hit land lastnight & weakened really quickly now its just a tropical low/rain bearing depression. We are going to get LOTS of wind & hopefully good rains. Today its been blowing its a$$ off all day & had a few light showers. The wind is really picking up now & it sounds scary. Hubby has to work again tonight will be interesting night for him.

That was lucky it died down quickly for you supa. They seen to die when they hit land don't they? I was watching the local news the other day and with the way the weather and all that technical stuff is that my area in qld should get hit by a really bad cyclone sometime soon. Quite scary as I've never really been through one. We just generally get the rain and winds and round crap weather from them.
