Has anyone seen a whipper snipper that is sort of on little wheels but still has the nylon cord to do the cutting. Its hubbys birthday this weekend he has trouble with the normal ones that you have to carry because of his wrist.
I am sure I saw them advertised on tv or is it my imagination?

I saw an electric one advertised on TV once....possibly a Stihl one but don't quote me on that. It looked really easy but didn't think anything of it at the time since we already have two whipper snippers (one is for spare parts apparently as it doesn't work ) and couldn't see the sense in getting another. I can't remember if it had a wheel though....or whether it was just a guard thingie that you lined up with the guttering and just glided it along. :dk:

Actually come to think of it, I don't think it's anything like what you are after at all LMAO

I think I may invent one:hehe: I will just get him one of those electric ones at least they are lighter.

Jen, you weren't dreaming. I knew what you were talking about and DH has confirmed they exist they are called Atom edgers. They are either electic or petrol powered.

http://www.cairnsmowercity.com/prod240.htm - here is a picture of one. DH also thought you should go to a mower shop rather than bunnings. I saw some on ebay too.

Good luck!
