Good Morning Ladies. I am going to have a whinge , cos I think I can LOL. My hubby works night shift 12hour shifts, and he has just come off 5 straight, I was so looking forward to him having 4 days off straight and more excited cos it is is Easter, we had organized lots of fun. Anyhow get a message from him last night Saying "I LOVE YOU" i was thinking hmmm somthing is up for him to say that at a start of a message lol he always says it at the end. Anyhow he now has to work Good Friday and Easter Saturday.... I know he is only doing it for us as we are one of the many who have been hit really hard by the interest rates, ( in one year ours has gone up from $636 to $894 a fortngiht),, so I can understand, but gee it annoys me. Am I being selfish?

Your not being selfish, i am sorry your hubby has to work so much- sounds like he doesn't want to but needs to.
I hope you have a nice Easter with the time you have together! :)
know the feeling, so far, and i have all of my fingers crossed tightly, looks like my husband might have the first whole 4 day easter weekend free in 5, or is it 6, years... i've probably just jinxed him. he's already working till whenever it takes tonight to get a job done so he doesn't have to go in tomorrow.. but i never let him know if it disappoints me, he's the one working after all...
i know about interest rates too.. just editing here as i originally thought yours was only half ours, but we pay it monthly... we have been on a fixed rate so far, but it ends in november, not looking forward to that!

I know it must be disappointing but just try to be as supportive as you can :) I am sure your hubby would much rather be at home enjoying the weekend but he is doing this for his family because he loves you and he is doing the best he can. Try to make the few days that you have together extra special :)

Fully agree with Rachel, though that doesn't make it any easier for you. Have you got any relatives/friends that live close by, that you can pop in on ?
