I thought you might all like to see a few of my friends enjoying their morning tea almost by the back door ...I really enjoy their company even if they are a little noisy at times with their chatter :)

Oh WOW! I want to come for morning tea as well
I have had seed & bits of fruit out the back for weeks now and all I seem to be doing is feeding the pigeons & sparrows :Hehe:
I can hear the Rosellas in the tree next door and other native birds but they won't play :(
edited to say I just noticed they are eating bread - will try that tomorrow morning :)

They're very pretty friends - we don't get much of them around here in the inner west... just pigeons and the occasional black crow :)

oh, much prettier than the masses of cockatoos we get at our place - probably less noisy too!

They are beautiful. You lucky thing.
My favourite place to go is the Bird Sanctuary on the Gold Coast. Love feeding the birds!!!!!! Fancy having them in your own back yard.
I miss having birds like that around. Had them before I moved to the city.
I have 'pet' peewees (sp). They walk around the back yard as though they own it. This is much to my dog's delight at times. My pup just sit and watches them. The cat doesn't seem to mind either. Weird little birds. I wouldn't do it if I were them, I have 4 animals here.

They are really pretty, we don't have the nice colours in our Native birds, but most of them do have a nice song especially the bellbird,

Patricia,
They are gorgeous. You are so fortunate to have such beautiful exotic birds like that. When I was in Australia I was so impressed by your colorful everyday birds. I am lucky to see a blujay here.

Looks like a postcard from O'Reillys/Lammington national Park. They're beautiful! We get lots of Rosellas here, and cockatoos. The cocky's are just as noisy as the Rainbow Lorikeets we had in our yard when living in QLD were. Gorgeous to watch but scary to be near when they take off drunk on nectar!

We get a couple of Rainbow Lorikeets too, but see far greater numbers of Scaly Breasted Lorikeets - the two often flock together. This is a chick we rescued after falling from his nest. He has since rejoined his flock but returns nearly every day.
