I went to our local Friendly Society chemist a few minutes ago to stock up on medication for my sick family over the long weekend :hehe: We are members which means we get a discount on some products, but the membership is in DHs name so I don't have the card with me - which is fine, they can look it up on the computer.
She said to me "Oh there's a note on here that you left your card here last time you used it" :dk: It's possible - would have been DH, not me (like I said, I don't have the card). So she pulls out literally HUNDREDS of cards, not just membership cards, but credit cards, transport passes, medicare cards
I asked her, "Are they ALL forgotten cards?" and, yes, they were  I was thinking to myself, I can't imagine being so distracted that I'd forget my card ... as I handed over a $2 coin to pay a $10 bill :hehe:

:hehe: Was there any of mine in there?
Up until about 6mths ago, I never really used a wallet or handbag. Shoves money and cards in my pocket. Lots quite a few, and would get replacement cards, only to find some months later in a pocket.
Haven't lost any since I started using a wallet all the time...funny that :hehe:

Your washing machine must be a literal gold mine Leigh....wonder, do they still work after being put through a cycle? :hehe:

i work in a pharmacy and we have a huge pile of cards too. I gave up ringing banks to report them to get them to come back in, I just search for them on whitepages.com.au and ring them and tell them they have left it there.
But we never get calls back. Have about ten credit cards in our pile.
speaking of which, i lost my licence somewhere between anywhere and nowhere. couldnt find it anywhere. then one day it turned up in the door handle of the car... freaks me out!

Yes, they do. Several times, even  I am always sticking my bank card in my pocket rather than putting it back in my wallet, it's been through the wash heaps of times. It does tend to rub the numbers and my signature off, so I signed using a laundry marker. But the magnetic strip is fine. My biggest problem is leaving them in a pocket and forgetting to take it with me next time I go out. It's SO embarrassing to get to the checkout and realise you can't pay because you've forgotten your card
