What did you leave at home on your last holiday or weekend away?

(I'm anticipating that someone'll say "my husband!" LMAO)

This weekend I forgot soap and my sheets. (I borrowed some sheets and found out that you can wash your body with conditioning shampoo samples that I took from a motel once! :D)

Kekka, I always bloody forget stuff, even though I write a list!!
This time I forgot my book.
Last time I forgot my hairdryer.:headh:
The time before that I forgot my camera.
Its hard when I have to pack for everyone and everything we need, of course sometimes i slip up. :shh:
Normally everytime I forget something, its something that I need!!!:uhno:

The last time I went away, I didn't forget anything. But the time before that (Christmas) I forgot our to take our slow cooker (up to the van for Christmas day) so we ended up buying another one while we were up there that we now leave up there :hehe:

i don't forget anything.. but i do run into problems packing it all, and sometimes have to leave something behind because it just doesn't fit into my bag.. last time i left my pillow behind, as we were going to tassie in winter, and my clothing was so bulky... next time i will buy a larger bag, as i really do not sleep well without my own pillow..

I know that because ive said this i will now be jinxed for next time but........ I dont forget stuff when packing. I am so paranoind that i will so i make a list then set out everything on the bed then check it off the list then pack it and chek it off again as it goes in the bag.

When i was about 5 or 6 we went away for easter somewhere along the Murry river. We met up with my auntie and uncle in Rosebud and headed off. I guess they forgot to check everything because about 3 hours later, at a petrol/pee/eat pit stop, their cat jumped out of the boat they were towing!!

I dont forget anything as I have a list in excel with each persons name & its colour coded. I rpint off & go down the list 1 person at a time & then the toiletries. We have different lists for different situations. (camping, hotel in city etc)

Actually I did.....once.....on the last Bribie meet, I forgot some over the counter pain killers and had to buy some from the Chemist at Sydney airport. Very glad I did too, because the Pharmacist recommended another type and they are marvellous.

Usually i am not the one who forgets anything - it's my husband. We went away for a romantic long weekend not so long ago and he forgot to bring the hanging suit bag that had all his clothes in it. He wore the same outer clothes the whole weekend (he had plenty of socks, jocks and shoes though) - i was ready to chuck them in the bin by the time we got home.

Forget my husband? I wish ... not that I don't love him but right now I would cut off my arm for a night in a hotel, on my own, no children, no husband, just me and room service in bed.

On time when we went to the UK in December (winter there) I only took the shoes I was wearing (sandal-type clogs) and no socks ... that was uncomfortably cold when we arrived until I bought some socks. Last time we went I only took the bra I was wearing. I had left a pile of them on the bed to pack, I just forgot to :dk:

When we went to NSW, I forgot:
* Spare plastic bags for dirty clothes
* Glasses cleaner
* Address of our Dubbo accommodation
* A book for John to read (assumed he wouldn't need one)

Never was a fan of Dr Phil :P

I used to collect bears when I was a kid so I have quite a few of them throughout the house. I might not take them on holidays with me but I do treasure them as much as my family photos :)

We forgot our language translator! (Went backpacking for a year) I listened to my DH sob regretfully about how great it would be to be able to translate the language wherever we were. Eventually, after about the 5th country we entered, and not understanding the language, i said, "IF i hear that word, translator, AGAIN, i'm going to scream, right here, on the train. He didn't mention it again!!!

When we got home, we found it in another box, with other 'useful' travel things that we forgot to take, like a calculator! We were too scroogy to buy new one's of either, but next time, athough it won't be for as long, I'm sure we'll take them! Just to make up for it!!!
