Aaarrgh :headh:
My house is full of them at the moment - everywhere I look, there is a blasted millipede.
We had them when we first built our last house too - and when we renovated so not sure whether it is the fresh paint smell that attracts them :dk: I seem to be forever picking them up and throwing them outside. I don't even know how the buggers get in.
At least Tyler is older now and doesn't try to eat them anymore I suppose :hehe:

I think maybe it's a southern states thing....either that or the geckos pick them off up here because I haven't seen one inside here yet. :dk: Plenty of geckos though! :hehe:
yes!! it happens here too.. the last house we lived in especially, seemed to be on the 'migratory path', i always had them inside.. i have seen a few lately in this house too - must be seasonal? do they only come in around this time?
Stormy post some geckos to Barbara :hehe:

When I lived in Adelaide we use to get them a lot too, they drove me crazy! I haven't ever had a problem with them where I have lived in WA though. Where I have been living for the last 2 years we have a lot of Geckos too which is Marvelous for my 4 year old neice who go's "lizard Hunting" lol (she thinks she is a mini croc hunter!)

Geckos are so cute
Rachel, you have cockroaches though and they make me scream like a little girl  The millipedes just annoy me.
Anyway, I have thrown them all out (again) and surface sprayed the windows and doors so hopefully when they come to visit again they'll turn their noses up and crawl next door :hehe:

Are millipedes like slaters?
I remember slaters from when I grew up in Victoria but can't recall any millipedes....:dk:

No Patric - they are like long black worms with lots of legs.

Heather, when I was doing the google searches for pics, I nearly died at the giant ones. I think it would be able to run faster than me if I took off to get away from it :hehe:

Don't you get cockroaches in Melbourne? Maybe I should move there. I hate Cockroaches with a vengeance  We have them in WA but I think some area's are worst than others. Luckily My area doesn't seem to have too many cockroaches. In the 2 years I have lived here I have only seen 2 outside and 1 at my front door. I did get a cockroach in my takeaway coffee when I was in Geraldton in January :eww:
