View Full Version : Why is it that...

All my old clothes I wear in the yard are white
Pluvers are so protective of their young yet build their nests in incredibly stupid places (e.g. Storm drains, the break down zone on the freeway and underneath parked cars)
There is cat hair in my engine bay
There is always junk mail in my mailbox despite clearing it four times a day
I don't care if I can't get blood stains out of my uniform but I care if I can't get mud stains out of my yard clothes

Stormy - I reckon you should get a 'no junk mail' sticker today! :)

Hey! How come you wear white in the yard??? Oh wait, you are asking that question...hmm, ok, my answer: It bleaches better when you're washing them after! (?) Or...it makes you feel like you're playing tennis! Gosh, i dunnoooooooooooooooooo!

Okay........

1. Change your yard clothes to darker colours, then you won't see any of the mud stains (that covers the first and last question)

2. Once you have changed all of your yard clothes, put all your white yard clothes in the letterbox - then they won't be able to fit any junk mail in there

3. The cat hairs are probably in your engine bay because the pluvers could have tried to build a nest in there and were chased out by a cat :brow:

4. As for why the pluvers build their nests in stupid places - because ........ um ........ they are pluvers  :dk:

Hope that helped :D

Jeda I only wear old crappy clothes in the backyard....because we have red clay soil but I was wondering why all my old clothes are white. I must have gone through a phase ten years ago where everything I wore was white :hehe:

Hey that's not bad Barbara :hehe: Maybe I should get a pair of King Gee overalls and just wear them in the yard. But hang on, are they white too? LMAO

Those were just some of the "why" questions floating around in my head while I was having lunch, go figure. :P

Nah not really Heather....just questioning the wisdom of the world I live in and create around me :D

Stormy - that reminds me of a friend who said she only wears white nickers because she said it was easier to wash them! When we went away, i remembered that, and so only took white nickers (because i knew washing would be a nightmare, going to laundrymats etc) and i tell you....it got very boring wearing only white nickers for a year!!! Hmm, ok, too much info! hehe
