creature of habit?
Do you feel most comfortable when you know in advance what you are going to do and where you are going to be?
Do you hate it if for some reason something or somebody disrupts your routine?

mmmmm had to think about this one - ideally i like to just wing it, not make too many plans or at least not plan down to the last millisecond, but realistically there have to be some plans in my life or i'd be in total chaos. I don't have a routine as such except for having to get to work on time, get my son to school - that sort of thing but i don't have a particular day or time to do the washing or shopping or stuff like that. Not really good with last minute visitors though - i like to be prepared and if i'm realxing i don't like drop ins or phone calls...
Geez, did i even answer that - i obviously don't fall into any category :D
depends on the sort of occasion it might be.. like, don't invite me to a wedding for this weekend! and don't come visiting on a whim on a sunday without a phone call first, cos we are more than likely not showered, and dressed in the same clothes we wore yesterday.. :D
i like changes to routine, i hate being in a rut.. one of the reasons i hated working...

No i am good with it because if i know too far in advance what i am doing it gives me time to panncik & stress about it all & being out of my comfort zone. but if its thrown at me i don't get time to think. I mean i would love for DH to come in here right now & say "come on we are going to Bribie right now"

i like having plans. i find that if DF and i don't make plans when the kids have their sleepover, we mostly don't do anything..i hate deciding on something last minute, because either i don't feel like it or i have to get ready and we'll miss the movie, etc. so plans are a definite.

I have learnt to be quite versatile as my partner, daughter and I split our time between 2 places due to my DP's work which makes it very hard to get into a proper routine.
I also now try to be organised so that we can be more spontaneous, I know the time will come when we are settled into a more organised life back in or closer to our "home town" so I just try to make the most of the situation that we are in rather than let it get to me any more :)

When I travel, I like to be reasonably organised. Flights booked, accommodation sorted, clothes packed etc. And because I don't know what I'm working beyond two weeks unless I'm taking holidays, I have to plan things well in advance so I can request the day/weekend off. A lot of people don't understand that....eight years of doing continuous rotating roster shiftwork and they STILL don't understand that. :brow:
But as far as my daily routine goes, I don't have one at all. I just make it up on the fly :)

Yes I'm DEFINITELY a creature of habit. I drive my family mad due to my need to have everything ready in advance such as lunch made the night before I go to work and even put out my breakfast for the next morning. I can get myself into a panic if things aren't where I put them or I get somewhere late. :)

i like to know roughly in advance, like the other day for example, i was at work til 6pm, but at 5pm my partner sends a txt msg saying we were invited to a bbq at 7pm and did i want him to go buy some steak ! im like geeeez im not gonna get home til 6.30 then it takes half an hour to drive there, yes go buy some bloody steak i cant do everything lol !
so i didnt get time to make a salad or some devilled eggs to take along either, i was NOT happy ! hehe

Life is too short to have everything just so.....expect the unexpected and you will be fine.

I am a huge planner and have routines for basically everything in life. So you could say i am quiet anal about it. I make plans a few days before going shopping and doing things on the weekend. I have basiacally kep tmy mums routine of not going out on school )now work) nights lol. and I hate it like when ppl just pop over without making an arrngment. We do the food shopping and other shopping on sat mornings when the shops open and things like that.
I hate changing my routines to. I stayed in a job which I hated with a passion because it was my routine. I finally got out of it but I suffered alitttle axiety coz I didnt have the same routines as before, if that makes sense.

when i'm on the computer relaxing:uhno:

For the main part I am a creature of habit (I eat at the same restaurants, I live by my diary and would be extremely distressed if I misplaced it!! Some things are scheduled for 2009 (true - don't laugh). I don't even like going out without a restaurant booking! (ie. I rarely walk down a road with a bunch of cafes and merely lob somewhere). I over manage many social happenings in the interest of having a great time - my closest friends are happy to go with the flow and find having me in their life means they have to do very little as I have most things in hand.
Most men I know don't keep a diary (Mr Canberra & my brother included). Shits the hell out of me. Mr C had to be reminded about his visit this weekend despite me sending him a copy of his itinerary a few months back.
That said, about diaries and whatnot....I love spur of the moment things every now and then. :D
