hi ladies i have started reading again:y:, i love books but i haven't read a book for at least 10 years.
(been unable to concentrate or relax as i have suffered from depression for years)
So now that's my time i go in my room & read a book.:)
I just finished a book called Mummy's Witness fantastic read, i couldn't put the book down & read it in 1 week (record for me considering i haven't read for so long) It's about a girl who witnessed who mother's murder than it goes through her childhood & what she had to go through. Would recommend to anyone
Now I'm half way through a book called Not without my sister OMG what a great book, it's about a family that's in a religious cult, you really feel for the girls.....

They are great books if you like real life stories!

I have just got 2 more books off of EBAY & still looking at heaps more on there, i will have to get hubby to build me a bookshelf if i keep going with this reading

Haven't heard of Mummy's sister, but I've heard Not without my Sister is great - or am I thinking of not without my daughter?

Kez, I know I'm a bit slow on the up-take here, but to answer your question from last month, I believe the answer is Not Without my Daughter. Was also made into a movie several years ago.

There is also a book called Not Without My Sister (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Not-Without-My-Sister-Violated/dp/0007248067) and I would say that is the one Mel is talking about. :)

yep Not Without My Sister is the one I'm talking about. It's about siblings that grew up in a religious cult.
fantastic book.
I'm now reading
A Portrait Of Pa - It's about Norman Lindsay But written by his daughter & gives you an insight on her up bringing & his life, really it's about all her family so it's very fascinating.
I never really was interested in Norman Lindsay i knew about him but that was as far as i went, but i recently went to a Jazz & Wine Festival at his house/gallery & it was fantastic, i really fell in love with everything about him. My Hubby Purchased 2 prints for us as it was our wedding anniversary the day we went so we had a very enjoyable & interesting day! now i love reading abo0ut Norman Lindsay & his whole family.
A great read if anyone is interested.
