There is a new movie that is causing huge controversy, called United 93, and it shows the flight that went down over the Pentagon...and what they "think" happened on board...

I don't think I would watch it, but then I am not big on "plane" movies anyway or shows that show planes going down etc.

I would have to think this is going to touch a lot of nerves for a few people? If not millions...but then I don't know?

Imagine if they made a movie about Port Arthur and what Martin Bryant did, how sic would that be...

Well I've heard about that movie about the plane thingy from 9/11. I think I'd watch it but I wouldn't go to the cinema's I'd wait til it came on pay tv. Same about Port Arthur too I guess. I quite like doco's like those even though they wouldn't be 100% correct. But then that's just me.

I remember a documentary they had when they said they had actual recordings of phone calls made from that plane. It was very distressing, but it makes you wonder who would be recording phone calls they receive.

It might be a bit too soon after the actual event to be making movies about it. There were so many people affected by the tragedy.

I saw a preview of this movie recently. It has caused a lot of people to be upset. When they were first showing previews of the movie at some theaters in New York, people yelled out "Too soon" and got very upset. So now, in New York, there are movie theaters that are refusing to play the preview and I think they will likely not show the movie.

As a proud American speaking(typing), I personally did not know anyone (that I know of) who was killed during 9/11. I use to sleep with the radio on, and that morning I was woken by what was being said in the radio, I thought it was a joke. At first they were saying "we being bombed, Ny is being bombed" I turned the tv on and there it was. Over and over again the plane crashing into the building, then the other plane into the building.
I thought what was happening. I was glued to the tv.
As a society, I think we have become very numb to reality because of what we see in movies and tv. It was surreal. Everyone was calling me, as I live near LAX and that is where the 2 planes were headed.
My poor grandma, she had dementia, she was born 1918. She has seen quite a lot in her days, came in to ask me if "that plane really crashed into the building, I told her yes, it was terrorists. She understood, and a very horrified look on her came over her face.
Our freedom has just been penetrated. The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave, shattered. What are ancestors had fought and died for.
What do we do now as Americans. We are afffected. Do we stay inside, rent movies, eat in, not go to the mall. What. YES that is what most of us did. Because of FEAR. Just what the terrorists wanted. After the shock wore off, people tried to return their lives, But they were still scared.
There were some brave people on those planes who knew they were going to die, and gave all they could to divert the planes. I feel the movie in a way is a tribute to them. I will probably wait till it comes to video, because I am too emotional.
People have a chioce whether or not to go see IT.

I feel bad for the ones who lost people they love, maybe the profits could go to them.
