whats the best way to clean ur machine. My bf never did and inside the agitator its filty!! i tried soaking the whole machine in hot water and epson salts over night but it did nothing. I pulled it apart and cleaned it, but it keeps coming back.
He is a house painter( a great one at that if anyone wants their house done) and that obviously dirties it alot too.

A cycle with a cup of vinegar in it every month or two.

If your agitator is like mine I know what you mean! Can't get to it... I use a very long hndled bottle brush - and I also do the vinegar thing.

Bicarb in the detergent dispenser, vinegar in the fabric softener bit works well for my machine, it is a front loader though. :)
Yep I do the bicarb in a small hot wash with vinegar in the fabric softener dispenser. I do mine once or twice a year. There is just me at home so its usually a single load a week - so its not like a well used family of 4 machine (or washing painters clothing!!).

As a side note - Vinegar works well as a fabric softener with clothes IN the machine, too :)

I do the vinegar thing as well but I put the whole 2 litres through on a hot cycle wash on a cold cycle though.
