I mentioned in another thread that i was starting a boot camp and a few of you said you wanted to know how it went. well it started on monday night and ive been wed and fri also so far. I was a bit scared to start with as i thought that it would be a bunch of fit people making me do things i couldn't but so far its been really good. There are a wide range of people -ages and fitness levels and the things we do can be done at all levels. On the first night we ran so far i didn't think i would survive the night - i was SO sore the next day and still am a bit sore. Tehn on wed night we done the beep test - havent done that since school days. and last night done lots more running. and also been doing weights and circuts.
After only a week im noticing changes in both my body and fitness - i never used to be able to run at all and now i can run for short distances at a time so i am really excited to keep going with it for the final 3 weeks. :jump:

Are you doing it with the YMCA? I did a boot camp last year with our local YMCA and it sounds very similar to the one I did. Although, ours was at 6am in the morning :O and went for 6 weeks. I really enjoyed it
I'm glad you are enjoying it - there is nothing more satisfying than finishing a workout/run and getting back some fitness. Good on you!! Keep it up :)

nah its not with the YMCA - but i have seen an advertisment for the YMCA one and it looks the same. I could have done it at 6am but i chose to do it of a night instead cause i wouldnt have enough time in the morning due to work.

Good for you! We have had something similar in our gym (Gold'sGym), but I couldn't commit to it because of time constrains. I also feel like i'd have to be more fit. Let us know how it's going for you. :)

Whats a beep test?
a beep test is where you all line up on one side and have to run a certain distance to the other side. you start running on a beep and have to reach the other side before it beeps again, each time to beep comes quicker meaning you have to run faster to get to the other side. then when you dont make it by the beep your out and it gives you a level which is your score!
sounds easy but its quite challenging. i didn't do very well but we do it again in our last week so hopefully i improve

There are decent sports bras out there for up to G cups, you just need to invest in a decent one and you can run your little heart out. :P There you go, big boobs are no excuse - even I can run, although I feel like I'm dying by the end of just 5 minutes but I'm slowly getting less dead by the end of it. LMAO
Good on you Amy, it's good to see results because it keeps you going in a way that nothing else can. :D

hey girls, im very excited this week is the last week of boot camp and we had to re-do the beep test that we done at the beginning of it. I orignally got only 3.1 and tonight (after stressing about it all day) i got up to 4.5 which i was so happy about! i nearly died at 3.1 last time and then tonight not even 4 weeks later i got to 4.5.
Now on friday i have to re-do some more running we done so hopefully i can see improvements with that! Ive really enjoyed the boot camp and its had great improvments on my fitness so much that ive just signed up for the next one!
