Mesmereyes My flat mate kept letting him out the gate & leave the gate open when he go out, we kept close the gate but on friday i was asleep & i woke up to the dog missing, daniel was not at home at the time. Falt mate said he saw Jake out side the gate he call jake to come but he did not come to the flatmate, so my flat mate just close the gate and let jake run away. He did not come to tell me about jake gone missing. That how we lost him

That's terrible Lisa, some flatmate, will they not let you get the dog on Friday when you have the money, at least the dog is safe

Oh Lisa I am so sorry to hear your flat mate has been so uncaring about this. It would have been nice to know that the dog was running off. I hope you can raise the money before Wednesday so you not have to pay too much.

That's so sad :( Would it make any difference if you go down to the council and talk to someone in animal control, and ask for an extension to Friday? Do you have even a small amount you can pay as a deposit until then so they know you are serious? I hope you can work something out, it seems so harsh not to give you a couple of extra days to get the money.

glad that the dog is at least safe and you know that it's fine and well.
as for the whole money thing, i TOTALLY know and understand what you're going through. something similar has happened to us just yesterday. maybe your family can help you out with it and you can pay them back.

Lisa.....the council will surely understand and help you make arrangements. You should also see about securing the property so that little Jake can't escape again.

Lisa surely there is something that can be done. Go down and have a chat to them and hopefully someone down there will be willing to help you out and bend the rules a little :)

Hi Lades Thanks for your kind words,
A other update
We call the poind today
They told us the cost & what things
We need to registere him that $80.00 (but i think it bit cheaper because i on the persion)
The Impoundment Fee: $30.00( i not sure)
The Sustenance Fee $15.00 each day
And we dont get him out it cost $30
I ask them if we can wait unto Friday they said it cost a lot of money to get him because it be 1 week he be in there & they said they might kept him in but they might decide to sell him or what ever they do.
I not sure what we going to do, i might have to say my good byes, DP said he think we cant get that much money, he think we should pay the $30 & say good byes to him & hope he go to a good home.
I don’t know what to do, i don’t if i should say good byes or try to find a way to get the money,
I don’t know

I think your housemate should be contributing towards it seeing as it was his incompetance which caused your dog to get out :dk:
This must be really hard for you. :comfort:

It too hard for me , we ask the flat mate if he can pay some money & he said it not my fault why your dog got out, i was about to yell, he think it funny, i still cant believe he went out side & put Jake stuff in the bin, i went out got Jake toys & bed and other things out of the bin,i cant wait to move out.
Thanks again everyone

Lisa, Your flatmate sounds very mean. I think you will be much happier when you and DF can get out on your own.

Lisa, I hope this is not an intrusive, but I kept looking and could not find out whether you got your baby back or not? I hope so and am sending you hugs. Lose the flatmate, fast. Then have a party to celebrate your freedom. ex-lax in his coffee perhaps........
