For the last week, Rosie has taken to sleeping on top of the blanket box in the middle of my mink blanket which I had just tossed on top of it. That's fine until the nights get chilly and I need to put it back on the bed. :)

So in my infinite wisdom, I decided to go and get a little soft bed for her from the pet shop. I found a lovely fluffy sheepskin one, not badly priced so I figured that I'd just get the one. After all, Mojo never has been known to sleep anywhere that I intend for him to sleep....he much prefers the wash basket, inside the blanket box or any couch/lounge/futon in the house. He has a soft wall igloo which he used a lot as a kitten/juvenile but in his older years, he has pretty much abandoned it. I would get rid of it, only I think one of these days, he might like to use it again. :dk:

I showed the pet bed to Rosie, she gave it the once over, had a little lie down in it and then went off to see what the neighbours are doing. I wandered back into the bedroom about ten minutes later and you guessed it....

It will be interesting to see who gets first dibs on it tonight. I might end up needing to get two of them after all.

that looks exactly what i want for my two.. Archibald has always preferred to be off on his own, he has three places he sleeps that Reginald is not allowed anywhere near.. the large cat bed i thought both of them would share was claimed by Reginald as soon as i put it down, and has always been his, but needs replacing.. i'll have to buy two, Archi won't understand if he doesn't get one as well.. :)

Well there would be room for two if they were snuggle buddies....but the closest I've ever seen them bedding down is a good two feet apart. :hehe:

We're going to see how it goes tonight, if there is squabbles we will get another one and pop it in the lounge room or my study on the other blanket box. :)

Yup, that's just like a cat for ya! Two of my 3 are both black and white siamese mixes, but that's where the similarities end. One is my eldest, a dainty lady of 14 and the other is my youngest at 6, and is a rather round, totally bratty boy who bullied his way to the top of the food chain days after joining our family as a mere 6lb, six month old kitten. At 16lbs, he is now firmly in place as king and cannot stand for Sheera (eldest one) to have a toy, be on the cat tree, or anything he thinks she might be enjoying. He will take toys away, kick her off of whatever she's perched on, and is so good at pushing her around that usually he just has to glare at her now to get his way! Little turd couldn't care less about our discipline either. Darn good thing he's so cute....

My cat has taken to sleeping on the sink of all places if she is sneaky enough to get up there in the first place!

I wonder if pets are like kids. When you get a present for one, you have to get a present for the other. And it must be equally good.:D I hope they share well. :)

No he doesn't believe in sharing....well he will share the bed, but not while he is in it. Come 10pm when I went to bed to read, he hopped out and went to sleep elsewhere. When I woke up this morning, Rosie was sleeping in it so maybe they will take it in turns. :dk:

He never sleeps in our room at night - he heads out here to the study and hogs the futon to himself. Or out in the cat park where he has another bed and furry blanket which he also hogs about 85% of the time. :hehe:

I would have gotten two of them but the other one in the same size was quite pink and I just couldn't buy it. :uhno: I will probably buy another one for the back room here for our other blanket box. :)
