We are hoping to relocate and buy a house within the next year...

For years I have thought about making alittle extra cash and starting up my own little dog walking business where i would also go feed animals when owners are away and spend time with them, collect mail, tuen lights on etc etc...

I thought it was a brillant idea until I searched it on the internet and come to realise many ppl have had the same idea lol..

we are moving up the blue mountains, I was wondering how much you would pay for your dog to be waked for 30 min if your at home, and if your not at home how much would you pay for a walk, playtime and collection of mail etc

There is someone who runs a service like that in the Gold Coast area - I got a flyer in my mailbox and she does in-home pet care too (i.e. cats). I remembered thinking that the rates for in-home pet care were very competitive compared to kennels but I can't remember off the top of my head how much it was for the 30min dog walk. :dk:

I wouldn't pay for my dog to be walked while I'm home but if I was going away, for a 30min walk, playtime of the same duration, feeding and grooming, I would want the rate to be competitive with a kennel fee - mainly because that is the other alternative apart from family/friends. Perhaps look at pricing of kennels in the Blue Mountains area and go from there? :)
