High time I introduced myself ... having already butted in everywhere with your posts! lol
Last week I turned .. 48 ... (everyone knows it's a rule that after 49 you start going backwards. I am prepared to chase you down and sit on you if you say otherwise... hehe ...) I've been married to Poss for 30 years (we reckon we've lasted this long because he makes the jokes and I laugh) and we have a boy and two girls, all doing their own thing now in the city and the wheatbelt. They are a great bunch of kids (but not perfect!!).
Life has taken quite a few sharp turns on us and now we find ourselves living in Broome (3 years ... gorgeous, quirky place) sort of unintentionally. Last year we sold our place in the Perth hills and now we are building (slo-o-o-owly, that's the Broome way) up here. Did I mention I'm impatient? lol
I'm not very good at making new friends, so I really appreciate having this forum and the lovely spirit I find here.
Cheers ... and i think I'll go with the dancing broccoli, just because I can :tree:

Aaahh, that was you! I had thought you had been a member way longer than me. I know I've already welcomed you aboard. Not to worry I suck at making friends too, but as I recall, we already agreed to be friends. Actually, I think that thanks to this forum you and I have a lot more friends than thought!

Hello Mel! I can't tell you how happy I am that you're not actually Gordon Ramsay! LMAO
Hello everyone and thank you so much for you lovely responses! :D No wonder I'm addicted to this site already!! I am amazed how many of you have been to, or knows someoneone in, Broome. Joy, the Cable Beach Club restaurant is tha bomb! It has the best food and atmosphere. I wonder if we ate there while your hubby was there?
Go Sandgropers! Supa, are you a townie or on a farm? Northampton is a really nice spot.
Jillyneanz I am a townie :) My hubby works at the garnet mine at Pt Gregory. Its a wonderful place especially to raise kids

Cheers Vik! Broome is very pleasant atm. It's a bit warmer than usual for this time of year, so the ocean is still warm, which means there are stingers in the water. Bummer. We all look forward to winter (The Dry) so we can go swimming! But soon they will go and we can spend some time in the water, instead of just looking at it! LOL
I am looking forward to getting to know you Vik. :) How is it where you live atm?

Hi Jillybeanz. It sounds like you have a great time in Broome. My in-laws live in WA, and from what I have seen of it, it is just as beautiful as the rest of Australia. We are so lucky!
I am in Canberra. I know, many people think we are a little different down here, but Canberra is great. We have so many things happening. It is getting cold here now, all the leaves have fallen from the trees and we have an auburn glow to the city. We are starting to get a little snow flecked on the mountains around us. Funny thing, I am not particularly good in winter, but it look fantastic. I think I must have been a bear in a former life, LOL. I tend to hibernate, but this year it is going to be different. Instead of hiding away I am going to embrace the brisk air and appreciate winter a little better! Well, I hope LOL. I look forward to getting to know you.
