Don't know of a shower gel, JK, but i can recommend 'Sugar Baby' Self Tanning Lotion. If you try some, be sure to wash your hands straight after or you'll end up with brown palms!

they also have bronzers that you apply i think once a day that gradually makes you darker..not sure what it's called, but my mom used it a few times last year.
i personally wouldn't use them, i've seen people look orange after using the self tanning creams. or not rubbing it in well enough and then having blotchy dark patches on their skin. just make sure you do it correctly. :)

I think I have tried some of those orange 'tans', MK! Looked more like I'd stolen a chicken's legs, LOL

Sugar Baby is brown. Definitely brown. I love the smell too, like caramelised brown sugar ...

i've heard of plenty of moisturisers that gradually self tan, but not shower gels :)

What moisturisers did you use?

haven't actually used them :hehe: my mil - who is incredibly fussy has one by lancome I think and I have one in my cupboard from Avon. A few friends have used them and like them... I used to use one years ago that I loved but then it changed and gave that lovely orange look...

I think Johnson and Johnson have a moisturiser that adds a gradual tan....check the shelves in your Supermarket (or Priceline type shop).

I don't think tanning cream comes as a moisturiser or a shower gel.
Have you been told this by someone?

Cherie - I have an Avon one in my cupboard! and I was using my MIL's one when I was visiting her and needed moisturiser. It isn't a tanning lotion as such - but it gradually adds an artificial tan as you apply and continue to use.

Oh ok, I have an Avon tanning cream. It is called Self Tanning Lotion. It works fairly quickly too. Not called a moisturiser though.

I'll have to check the Avon one... but the one at my MILs is definitely a moisturiser with a tanning element. Searched high and low through her house for moisturiser and it's all I could find, so I took note! Pretty sure it was Lancome... or maybe some other similar brand.

kezabelle, that's i think the one my mom has..you have to continuously use it and it gradually makes you tanner. she's barely used it herself and i think i'd be too scared to use it too.

I only used it for a weekend and Ididn't notice a difference, except that my skin wasn't so dry from the cold! Maybe I needed to use it longer. And maybe not have a natural tan happening from our own sunshine :hehe:

I have used the Johnsons gradual tan body lotion (I think it was called Johnsons holiday glow) about $10 from the supermarket, it worked OK and I started to notice a difference after about a week. I haven't heard of the shower gel though :)

this made me grin, remembering the one time i tried one of these things, when i was a lot younger than i am now.. i've always been too fair to tan, too fair to try it really... so one year i decided to try a cream.. lol! talk about orange... i think i might have glowed in the dark... and it took ages to go away, or so it seemed at the time.. never again. :D

I've got Nivea Sunkissed Skin.

Pretty much the same as the Johnsons one. Because it works so gradually you have less chance of going orange! :d:

I use "Made in the Shade Self-Tanner Sunscreen SPF15" by Arbonne International with anti-ageing elements. Does not make you look orange, just sun kissed. :)

I have used the same one as Rachel but I find all of them have a certain kind of smell and I don't like it at all.

I'm olive skinned so I don't bother using anything anymore!

Jillybeanz,
Do you know who puts out the Sugar Baby brand? I've not heard of it.
Thanks

Hi, I am not sure about shower gels but eating foods rich in beta carrotene such as carots and broccoli will help you tan naturally. Don't overdo the carrots though, a friend of mine was taking 10 carrots a day (that's eating and juicing) her skin started going orange.

Good luck in your quest
