What does everyone do when their energy levels are low?
Coffee? More sleep? Chocolate?
:)

Coffee usually. During the day I don't really have the option of sleeping, although I have woken up a few times as my forehead smacks into the keyboard of my laptop . If the weather is good and I have the motivation I'll go for a walk, sometimes helps and if nothing else, wears the children out so they go to bed easily :hehe:

I take the berocca option, can't honestly say I've ever noticed if my pee changes colour, I also like to take a walk though I hate the cold weather so I'm not highly motivated to do that at the moment.

I have found Berrocca to be nothing more than expensive pee colourant too...does absolutely nothing for me.
Then again I am constantly fatigued so maybe it does help "normal people" ?

Patric, it did nothing for me either (other than the pee) but Sophia slept SO badly when I was drinking it while she was still breastfed. I don't know if there is a correlation but the possibility was enough for me to stop drinking it.

Berocca makes me go a funny colour too - i stopped using it cause of that but i might start again...
Where do you get these guarna pills from??
At work when I'm on a late shift I take 2 V's to work and have one at 1pm then one again at 5.
Maybe a low GI diet would help? Is anyone on one??

If at all possible, I  especially if it's time I should be asleep, if not, well it's :coffee:
blondie.. i buy guarana from the chemist usually - the ones i buy are called VIG, they have ginseng and ginko in them too.. can buy different brands tho, some are stronmger than others, the ones i buy for my husband are 2000mg, but i like the lighter dose, there's half that in the VIG. the stronger ones make me a little jittery.

what is berrocca?! i'm assuming it's an energy drink?!
once in awhile i'll drink red bull too, but they don't do much for me.
kekk-i rarely EVER eat chocolate. and it's pretty much the same reason why i don't have cake & cookies. :( i love chips though, popcorn, and lollies. :D

Berocca is more like a vitamin supplement that dissolves in water.
i like Hairy Lemons too.. think a bright yellow Berrocca with Vit C and Guarana in it.. :) talk about yellow pee! :D

A banana is always good; I always have nuts and sultanas in my draw, we got rid of our vending machine, so no chocolate, don't drink coke anymore.
Cup of tea always helps. :dance3:

Depends, if I'm at work I go for the sugar hit - usually lemonade or some peppermint tic tacs.
If I'm at home I'll either have a nanna nap or a shower.
A few of the girls in my soccer team last year used to have a banana before every game.

Now that its winter I take Vit D capsules,a low vit D can cause weakness and fatigue.I am sure it helps.
apples are a good pick you up! I also take a multivitamin & that helps
Naomi

Is that true about apples? I'll have to try that.

Ive upped it now on my work days - on a regular day i'll have a berocca in the morning then one on my lunch break, and on my late shifts i'll add in a V drink at lunch time and one at 5pm. Can't be good for me I'm sure
yep research shows they are a better pick me up than coffee :)

I've got the same problem as Patricia...chronic fatigue so nothing much really works for me, though that doesn't stop me from trying. Resort to caffiene when truly desperate. As for chocolate though, well I really don't need an excuse for chocolate. I love it, it hates me and causes both skin and tummy problems, but it's never been enough to stop me. :hehe:
Can't stand coffee. :uhno: Love tea but it hates me. Must make a confession though.....
Now I know this might shock some of you, but please understand that my body reacts strangely to things in ways that are generally the opposite of most people, so....... For example, some medications that would knock a 350 pound logger out cold, will have zero effect on me. But some that studies prove are safe for 99.9% of people, will make me sicker than a dog. That said...
When I absolutely must have some caffeine, like when I'm out doing errands and become dangerous on the road with no back-up driver handy, I carry caffeine tablets in my purse and stop, take 1/2 of one, wait for it to kick in and then head home. I don't recommend this for anyone though as you will pay for it in the long run. But oddly enough, it settles on my tummy better than tea. Just to reassure everyone though, I always try to either have a back-up driver with me or break my errands up over several days so you don't have to worry about hubby peeling me off the ceiling. :hehe: Nor will I take it in large amounts that will stop me from getting the little bit of sleep I have to live on!

I take vitamin d, berocca is good, also take fish oil capsules they make me feel a little better, for an instant pick me up I just have a cuppa or a juice of some sort, sometimes dehydration makes you feel lousy.
