They called her Suri, which means Princess in Hebrew or Red Rose in Persian.

Wow. What is it with celebs naming their kids weird names? I swear that on E news yesterday they were saying tomkat might be expecting a boy and brangelina were maybe expecting a girl? Hmmm maybe I have them mixed up? Oh well. 7 pounds isn't a bad size though.

I think Suri is a very pretty name :) With a mum like Katie I'm sure she will be a very pretty baby too.

and with a father like Tom, she will be stunning probably...yes it is growing on me...I like different names...he really is not bad looking for a 42 year old...I have entered a competition to win tickets to see Mission Impossible:3, not seeing it for the "tom factor" but for Phillip Seymour Hoffman, he is such a brilliant actor...

I enjoy watching Phillip Seymour Hoffman too - MI3 seems a weird career choice - as he always seems to choose different movies but I guess the role of playing the baddie was too good to pass up.

I was reading the horoscopes for Tom & Katie the other day and it said that it is all Bliss & Babies at the moment but eventually Katie will wake up and realise thats Toms not for her. I hope not especially now they have a baby and her being so young & Tom not :jump: I would expect them to have another quite soon. :)
I have never seen any of the Mission Impossibles am I missing out on alot. Tom Cruise just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid.

Risky Business...the socks...and the shirt...

I actually like Val Kilmer better in Top Gun, the beach volleyball scene, OMG, heaven...

Mira Sorvino and Mariska Hargitay are also having bubs very soon...the Who magazine this week is rather good, the most beautiful people of 2006, good line up...and there is actually something to read...

Thank God they finally had the baby so we can stop hearing about it. I don't know why I get sucked into the celebs lives. I can't stop reading about who's dating, getting married, having a baby, getting divorce. I even read today about K.Fed - Brittany Spear's loser - I mean husband. I have to stop.:)
I loved Top Gun and A Few Good Men. But I think that he has become so weird now, with the couch jumping and stuff.

I wonder if she was quiet and calm during the birth. Stuff that religion everyone has a right to scream and carry on when having a baby.

It wasn't Katie that had to be quiet it was the nurses and midwives and doctors. So the first voices the baby heard were her parents. Weird if ya ask me.

I'm not real keen on them either, but it's nice to hear when someone has a baby!
Good on them!!

Funny thing about the being quiet during the birth. While I was in labour I hated noise, told everyone to shut up, even the midwives (and they did, lol). It ended up being pretty quiet overall. Not a religious thing, just a "don't argue with a labouring woman" thing.

And I've been off Tom ever since the jumping on the couch on Oprah thing, and more so since the "just take vitamins to get over PND" incident.

I wonder if she's not talking to her baby... I read in an article somewhere that she wasn't allowed to talk to her baby for a week after the birth!!!

Oh my mistake I thought the woman giving birth had to be quiet too.

Tom Cruise just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid.

ESPECIALLY not in Risky Business... WHAT was he thinking with those big white Y-fronts? ;-)
