I know we have had this before (awhile ago now though), but what shampoo & conditioner do you use?

I usually head straight for Pantene or Dove have used Garnier, Palmolive and others in the past. My favourite used to be Sunsilk 3 in 1 but they don't make it anymore.

In an attempt to cut our showers down to shorter times, I have been looking for a good 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner but haven't had much luck....

...until today.

I went into Aldi after gym to get some of their chicken mince (it's such a good price, but that's another story) and was walking past the toiletries section when I noticed a kids 2 in 1 shampoo & cond for only $1.99 and I thought what the heck....

Well, when my hot water was back this afternoon, I used it and it is actually really good

So I am going to see what it is like after a couple of days use - will let you know how I go :)

KMS California at the moment....got it on a good special but even on special, the price is pretty up there. :(

Unfortunately most of the supermarket shampoos/conditioners on the shelves strip the colour from my hair...even the colour safe ones.

We started using a new brand of shampoo and conditioner. I can't remember the brand, but the idea to change was because we are trying to be a little more environmentally friendly with our showers and what we put down the drain. So saying all that we went to the healthfood store and bought shampoo and conditioner there, and the price is good for the size and it does a great job on the hair. A pleasant surprise. I was expecting to come out like i had stuck my head in a socket, but it make our hair soft and it smells good too.

I have a really dry itchy scalp and it's been giving me the pip lately. So Miss Snips (youngest daughter) has just posted up some samples of Nioxin No 7 and it's made a huge difference in just two washes! Terrific! And my hair is nice and shiny too for a change. :D I think it's pretty pricey though.

I just use what ever my sons girlfriend supply's me with , she is a hairdresser and keeps me in Shampoo and conditioner from the salon, No she doesn't pinch it but gets it at a very cheap rate,
I have never trusted those two in one shampoo's but I think that comes from being a hairdresser to,
what I have noticed is the water plays a big part in how my hair looks and feels I love back on the farm the water is so soft compared to here

Cherie, I used to use the Avon one as well (Advanced Techniques), but their 2 in 1 is now only for dandruff. It's a shame because I really liked it and I loved the smell of it too.

Barb, I don't use the 2 in 1. only the individual ones. I especially like it because I get it a little bit cheaper too.:hehe:

I love Tresseme. And I use Pantene shampoo and conditioner for blonde hair. And at the moment I'm using De Leronzo Reguven8 which is great from my hairdressers. I sorta rotate between them..

i can't use 2 in 1, because my hair still gets all tangly and try combing out all those knots with my long hair..not fun!
we all use tresemme here. once in awhile we'll use head and shoulders if me or becca have dandruff.

At the moment I have Delva and before that I had RPR which I really liked. My mum left behind some Herbal essences at my house and I really liked that too..
Barbara is the 2 in 1 an Aldi brand or can you get it anywhere? We don't have Aldi here but if it is good I will give it a go :)

I had a look at it last night Rachel and it is an Aldi brand - it says on the back that is is made for Aldi stores.

Never heard of Delva but ooooh, I forgot about Herbal Essense - I like that too :hehe:

Barb, I didn't think the 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioners were any good for your hair :dk: My hairdresser years ago said to stay away from them, as shampoo opens the hair folicle and conditioner closes them again, something like that..but using them both together that doesn't happen. :dk:

$30 a bottle I believe

I like the salon shampoos but I'm really not a big fan of the price. I would use KMS all the time because it smells lovely, keeps the colour fresh and doesn't weigh my hair down. But full retail it's about $40 for shampoo and conditioner....gets a bit heavy on the hip pocket after a while, especially if the other half starts using it - he does not believe in using small amounts. :O
