Okay girls, June is nearly over and it will be time for another book. I've posted a poll with this thread so hopefully we can find something which is common ground for a lot of us. There has to be something surely! :hehe:
So what would you like to read?? If you have a book in particular in mind, then list it here. I'm hoping to get my hands on a copy of This is Not my Beautiful Life but it is a non-fiction book. Looks like it would be a great read though. :)
So please vote in the poll, it will make it a lot easier to choose a book if we have a genre in mind for the month.

Stormy, that book sounds great and I'd be happy with that one personally.
I would also like to read Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi.
Here's a blurb on the book:
In this profoundly affecting memoir from the internationally renowned author of The Caged Virgin, Ayaan Hirsi Ali tells her astonishing life story, from her traditional Muslim childhood in Somalia, Saudi Arabia, and Kenya, to her intellectual awakening and activism in the Netherlands, and her current life under armed guard in the West. One of today's most admired and controversial political figures, Ayaan Hirsi Ali burst into international headlines following an Islamist's murder of her colleague, Theo van Gogh, with whom she made the movie Submission. Infidel is the eagerly awaited story of the coming of age of this elegant, distinguished -- and sometimes reviled -- political superstar and champion of free speech.

I am happy with anything but i tend to go for crime thriller books like the James Patterson ones. I will hopefully be able to read this book as i have missed the last 2 due to many reasons.

well, I've been slack with the last one, but I haven't read the discussion as I do intend to get to it eventually :)
I ticked all the boxes as I really will read anything. I like stepping outside my usual genres too so whatever is chosen I'll give a go if i can.

Well unfortunately it would be very hard for me to find a Dean Koontz book that I haven't read yet either Stormy, I've even started buying them from America because they get them 6 months before we do and I just don't wanna wait. LMAO.
Now I was at The Warehouse yesterday and I so had a puruse through the books for ideas and I came across a series called "The Tommorrow Series" written by John Marsden. They are Australian and in Novella form, so quite short, and they are in a series of 7. I stood there and started reading one of them just to see what they were lilke and I literally stood stock still and read a whole chapter while in the shop cause I couldn't put it down. They were only $11 and I was up untill midnight finishing it off cause I just loved it. Of course immediatly I came home and ordered the first book in the series cause I just fell in love with it, as The Warehouse only had the last 4 books in the series.
Here's the website so you can go and check out the books yourself but if you want something easy and interesting and not to dear I recommend it whole heartedly.

Will read any good book, prefer sci/fi or sci/fantasy love Dean Koontz but already read a lot of his, tried reading Last Man Standing after going to the trouble of buying it on ebay, didn't like it too much, but everyones suggestions sound good so whatever is nominated will give it a go.

Okay non-fiction it is....there's been no further votes and it had the most so that's what we'll go with.
There's a few people have expressed interest in Infidel so I will be happy to go with that unless anyone has any objections? :dk:

If you're interested in reading it girls, go out and source a copy. I hope to be finished it by end of the week and will open a discussion thread then - given some people have already read it, will mark it as a spoiler thread. :)

Thanks Stormy. I'm going away on holidays for a couple of weeks and will probably have it finished when I get back.
I also don't have internet access where I am going so I won't have to read the spoiler thread!
