i'm not with dodo, but i heard that some other ISPs have been having troubles with their connections. hopefully it's not just you and they're already working on the problem?

I think it's dodo. A friend has the same problem and he's on broadband. It just drops out for like ages then comes back again and dodo have never given him a straight answer about what's wrong with it.

I have the same problem with bigpond, sometimes I might get as many as three dropouts a night. I have complained on many occasions, they just dont seem to care. I have had one dropout tonight. I am going to phone their billing department and ask for a reimbursement LMAO . I think they are all the same once they have your money they dont want to know you.

Angie you are so lucky. I never used to have problems with them, but it is now going from bad to worse.

I have no problems with mine, I'm with Westnet. Sometimes we do drop out if the Internet Traffic is busy but our connection is pretty good for dial-up.

If you're on broadband you could try adjusting your MTU setting, an advanced setting in your modem configuration. It adjusts the size and flow of data through your connection - talk to your ISP about the recommended setting (normally 1492 for ADSL).

I have also been with Bigpond for a few years now and never had a problem. When I was on dial-up it used to drop out after a few hours (but that was only if I left the computer on and didn't use it). I have got cable broadband now & it's great :)

I use to have dial up.. which made me want to beat my head in. But now we have it throught the cable, and it is soooo fast..

The only good thing about dial up is I could do chores between chaging screens.LMAO
