Hi all, just found what looks like a wonderful site.... so here I am. My partner and I travel around Australia in our motorhome, so I can't get on the net too often. When we're not parked in a friend or family home then we go to internet cafes. We have been parked at my daughter's place for the past almost 5 months due to ill health, but all ok now and we are moving on next Tuesday, so I shall haunt this place until me move.... Nice to meet you all

Hi Annie and really glad you found this site!

Wow I would love to travel in a motor home - you don't miss having a roof over your head?? I think the freedom would be great. I'd love to hear about your travels so far.

Oh BTW my name is Gail and I live in Sydney, married to Garry and am owned by a Tonkinese cat called EmmCee - drop in when you can and keep us up to date!

Hi all, thanks for the replies.... We're heading for Cairns when we leave here..... gradually of course, only going about 100kms the first day, to stay with friends for a few days. We do have a roof over our heads! LOL, I usually tell people we live in a one bedroom unit on wheels..... got all the mod cons, air-con, microwave, washing machine etc., we travel with two dogs and a bird too. It took about a year to fit out the bus and we've been 'on the road' for about 18 months..... mind you not enough travelling done in that time, the bus broke down last year and we had to get work in the Toowoomba area, worked in a packing shed for 4 months! Too long parked in one place and cold work too.... then late last year partner had a heart attack which is why we've been here for 5 months, getting his and then my health back on track....... :tyeo: enough for today!!

Cairns.. have never been but only heard great things about it!! 18 months.. wow you are very much dedicated to travelling. And its great to have some of the luxuries too like a microwave and air con etc.. I don't think i'd be able to do it otherwise! Hope your partner and yourself will be back of the road of recovery very soon, all the best,

Sheree
