Printer, scanner, copier

Woo, me again lol. I'm after a printer, scanner, copier thingy. Reasonably cheap but a good one. Oh and I'd like it to have either cheap cartridges or something like that. So what brands are good.

And patricia, where did you buy your new one from? I remember you brought one not that long ago.

i bought an HP 1610 all in one. its fantastic. great print quality. $75.00 from Harvey Norman. You can also get them at office works.

Mine is a Lexmark, nice and cheap cartridges and the print quality is good too, even for photo quality on photo paper. It came with my computer but I know you can get them from big W for cheap (not sure how much exactly I try not to go into town much).

Also I refill my own cartridges, it's a shit to get them open but once you have they are easy to fill and the quality is just as good. If you cant fill them yourself it only costs about $20 to have them filled. (In Mackay anyway).

My daughter has a HP and the print quality is great but the cartridges are pretty eXie.

I have a Hewitt Packard psc 2110 all in one. I m happy with it, but I wish it were a little smaller, and not make noise and scare me:)

Hmmmmm ok. MIght have a look at the apliance places in town tomorrow. We have a betta electrical that has a huge rang of computer stuff so maybe there I could get a good deal. :Hehe:

I needed a fax and bought a Samsung fax/phone/answering machine from eBay for under $100; works well and the ink cartridge is relatively cheap.

Lol oh I don't to fax things lol. And I thought about ebay but I want to get this from a shop so I can have a proper look and I want it now. Well tomorrow lol

we have a Lexmark P6250. Got it of TVSN so it was delivered and part payment without leaving home,same as computer,it does everything but fax. I use it all the time to load my photos from the camera. don't know what we paid though and I haven't replaced the ink yet but I should its just about out

Ive got a printer scanner copier from HP and i have to admit its fab! The photoquality prints are great too. Also you will be surprised at just how handy a Photocopier is!!

BTW get a shredder tho. Best office investment yet!

I luv my shredder. hubby used it for the first time a week ago, now he asks me to save things for him to shred..my son watches. he is not a loud to use it, but he immitates the sound it makes..

Well I brought one. Although I need to buy an extra usb or lan cable to get it to work. It wasn't included. Darn thing. So a question, are the usb cables simialr to camera cables or what? By the way this one is a brother115C

I know my printer and camera cable have one end that is the same but not the other end..

Ahhhhhhhh that's pretty much what I wanted to know. Thanks Gina. But I can't play with it cause I need the cable to set it up. So bummed. Ya'd think they'd supply it but nooooooo

Of course not... They want you to sepnd the extra money on the little accessories.. Just like cellphone, none take the same house charher, car charger, ear bud, protective case... we have over 6 cell phones here, with all their chargers.. I need to get those on ebay..
Well you can still you your printer to scan and print right.. just nothing with the computer..

LMAO I can print photo's I guess and use the copier that's it til tomorrow. Sooo lucky I'm going back into town tomorrow or I'd be pissed :Hehe: This one's cool to cause it has the slots for the memory cards from camera's so can print straight from the memory card. Cool huh

LMAO It's really cool and I'm so happy with the price. I was actually going to a hp one for $118 but then dad pointed out this one and it's better and was only $95 so a little saving and yeah pretty cool. I is very happy although I'm so squished for space it's not funny. I think I need a bigger desk...

And I got the cable today woot woot. Took a bit of stuffing round to install in though I managed int he end with a wee bit of swearing LMAO

Although I tried scanning a photo before and it came up the photo little normal phot size but was on a4 like had a piece of paper too so wasn't the hole photo like it is from digital camera's. Um does that make sense? And does anyone know how to set it at photot size?

Ok well I still have the darn problem with scanning photo's. They come up normal size but it's also A4 size. Does that make sense? I searched through the book thingy and it doesn't have anything about changing the size to scan things only to copy. Ugh this sucks. The main reason I wanted this was to be able to scan my photo's onto my computer but they're all funky size.

Does anyone use a different program than what came with your scanner to scan photo's?

Oh and Leigh I tried taking a photo of a photo but it didn't work out

Once you scan your pictures, can't you resize them on your computer? What program are you using or is it software that came with the scanner?

I just use the software that came with the printer. I do have irfanview on my computer but even when I view the pics it has the white A4 bits around the actual photo. Here I'll show everyone what it does, not sure if you'll be able to see the white though

Hmmm yes you can't see the white but you can tell there is more to the pic cause it goes so far down tha page.
