(Sorry if i started the thread in the wrong section, i wasnt quite sure)

ok i got 2 pairs of jeans taken up yesterday a pair of Nudie's and a pair of Lee's, the place was reccomended by General Pants Co so i figured i'd be getting good service, total opposite!

when i was trying to explain to the woman how i wanted them it was like she wasnt listening to what i was saying and kept talking over me saying that i cant have it the length i want because its too long and whatever her other reaons were, but fnlly i convinced her thats how we're going to do it.

anyway i got my mum to pick up my jeans, the Nudie's were fine, but omg!! she ruined my Lee's (these were the pair that she was complaining that the would be too long) first of all, they were waaay too short of how i wanted them, about 2" too short, and secondly, on leg has been done half an inch shorter than the other!!

I just spent $140 on the Lee's and $30 to get both taken up and i feel like I'm never going to wear them because she ruined them :( is there anything I can do? What happens in these situations? or am i basically stuck with stumpy leg jeans with one shorter leg?

I un picked one leg to see if i could alter it myself to a longer length, but its not going to work because of the difference in leg sizez!

please help :(

If you are not happy with the service you should take them back and tell them, maybe you shouldn't have un picked there work though as now it might be hard to prove they did it or you

Whatever you do don't try to re-sew it yourself in the hopes that 'she won't notice'! Because she will, and then you won't have a leg to stand on. You'll still be able to see the stitch marks ect. as evidence of her shoddy job and that's all you need.

Are they that short that they can't be fixed at all and they are ruined?? Sounds like it and if it were me I'd be attacking it from two angles. I'd be demanding a full refund from the 'seamstress' (ha-ha!) And then I'd be off to General Pants and asking to see a manager. The 'seamstress' they instructed me to use destroyed my brand new pants through utter incompetance. *show them pants* As I followed your recommendation I fully anticipate this situation will be swiftly rectified.

Expect them to try and brush you off but hold your ground, because that is just disgraceful!

ie.
- Well this has never happened before...
- - I'm glad to hear that but quite clearly this has happened to me and I'd like something done about it all the same, thanks.

Oh dear, first rule of thumb when unhappy with a service....never try to rectify yourself.
Now that you have learnt that lesson.....go with our new member.....very sensible advice there.

I would complain and try and get them to replace the jeans, if not why not consider making them 3 quarter, just abover the knee (very fashionable right now) or turn them into shorts with a cuff. I guess though it all depends on the style they wear. Good luck with everything!

Take them to the seamstress that made the mistake because they have to rectify it. Because they can't do that they will have to replace the item.
General Pants Co really have nothing to do with this, they suggested that you visit a particular seamstress- but that's all it was a suggestion. They certainly aren't liable for any mistakes that the seamstress makes.

The seamstress has damaged your goods through their incompetence - they would need to make reparations for the damage.

In the same token, I would tell General Pants Co. that their suggested seamstress has damaged your jeans and hopefully they won't forward any further business to that seamstress.
