Does anyone here eat much fish? And if so, what is your favourite & how often do you eat it?
I love Hake and Blue Gren - they would have to be my favourites.
I love all tin fish as well
I have some form of fish everyday. It's great for your skin :)

Barbara what is tin fish?
I eat tons of salmon, I just luv it! But I have to have the wild not farmed.
Can you believe living in California they sell us "farmraised" seafood. Unreal!
There is such a difference in farmed and wild The farmed they add color.. yuk
I rarely eat anyother fish, mostly crab, clams, lobster, and lots of shrimp. My son and I had crab for dinner this evening.
I did have Barramundi cod in Au and it was very tasty, much better than our cod..

Oh I agree Telori - I hate fish from the fish & chip shop.
I have steamed fish or I make fish wraps (in foil) & cook them in the oven :d:

We're having fish for dinner. Supposed to be steamed according to the recipe - how do we steam fish??? We were going to grill it.
We're having it with ratatoille (or however it's spelt).

You can steam it on foil in a steamer (even one of those saucepans with the steamer section) or you can wrap it in foil & pop it in the oven. Either way, it will be the steam that cooks it :)
I had fish for lunch

Thanks Barbara,, I am learning... s-l-o-w-l-y.. We say canned. Now I know.
I can't eat fish from a can, just the thought.. It has to be from the store and fresh, Actually most frozen fish is fresher than, the fresh fish on ice. Because the freshcaught fish gets frozen within minutes..
When I was younger I use to eat tuna in the can and sardines from the can. can you believe my mom use to send me to school when I was 6 years old with a can of sardines and crackers for lunch!
No pb&j or ham and cheese like the normal kids... And when I asked her, u know what she had the nerve to say!..
"But you liked it!"..:P Kids get made fun of for taking smelly food to school..
thank god I went to a private school and they couldnt tease there or they would have been swatted/...lololol:) :jump:

We eat fish at least once a week here too. Adam will pretty much eat any type but Cal and I will ONLY eat flake (shark)..nothing else...and I dont like any other kind of seafood like prawns or crabs.
We have it grilled..sometimes on the BBQ or sometimes dry fried after being lightly coated in flour...yum!
I also like canned Tuna but not the ones in oil...just the ones in brine which i drain all of anyway.

I with you Patric - I don't like the ones in oil either.
Have you tried any of the mixed cans now (with sundried tomato & capsicum or chilli) they are delicious tipped on a bed of green salad :d:

We bought some fish and crab meat today which will be our tea. Shane usually batters it which turns out really yummie. I like most fish & tinned salmon and tuna. Don't like shellfish unless its garlic prawns :d: Shane quite often has tinned sardines on toast for breakfast. I used to spoon feed those little cans of tuna to my now eight yr old son. He doesn't believe me now though but he used to love it when he was a toddler.:jump:
YUMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
i LOVE FISH
I dont eat any other types of seafood but we all love our fish. My son takes the little cans of tuna for lunch its his fave. My 15 yo cousin is staying with me at the moment and she hates any sort of fish so I have been missing it (dont want to make two meals)

I eat fish quite a few times during the week too. Sardines, salmon for lunch.
When I buy fresh fish I just ask for the one that is boneless and probably the cheapest.
I have to have mine grilled (gluten again) or I fry it in butter and lime juice. Yummy.
I love all seafood. Oysters don't like me for some reason though.

Well we ran out of foil (and when I asked DH if we needed anything
from the supermarket he 'forgot') so I grilled it anyway. Still yummy though! Will tried steamed next time.

I eat a lot of tuna, usually I just buy the plain one in springwater and add a little of my fav salad dressing.
I am not keen on cooking fresh fish, so we usually have it from a box.
